According to the official synopsis, an advice columnist searches for answers after her childhood friend is the prime suspect in her boyfriend’s murder.
When an unusual handwritten letter arrives at Nelly’s (Pascale Hutton) office, she identifies the handwriting as belonging to her childhood friend, Dahlia (Sarah Grey). The letter claims her boyfriend Blake (Julian Haig) is being unfaithful.

Lacey Chabert is starring in another Christmas film, this time for Netflix. The actor, best known for her roles in “Mean Girls,” “Party of Five” and over 30 Hallmark films, will lead “Hot Frosty” for the streamer.
The film will also star Dustin Milligan, Joe Lo Truglio (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), Craig Robinson (“The Office”), Katy Mixon (“American Housewife”), Lauren Holly (“Dumb and Dumber”) and Chrishell Stause (“Selling Sunset”).

Aren Prupas has taken over the reins as president and CEO of Canadian “Coroner” producer and distribution company Muse Entertainment.
Prupas stepped into the role as of Jan. 1, when he took over for his father, Michael Prupas. Prupas Sr. now serves as executive chairman of the board.
Previously, Aren Prupas spent a decade as the company’s COO and senior VP of business and legal affairs. He is a member of the New York and Quebec Bars with a BA in Political Science from Tufts University; an Llb, Law, from Montreal University; and an Llm, Banking, Corporate & Finance Law, from Fordam University of Law School.
“Ours is a complicated, regulatory and guild-governed industry, particularly in Canada,” Prupas tells Variety on how his legal background will help guide the company through potential industry changes ahead.

The Canadian government’s Cad$50 million ($38 million) backstop scheme to support homegrown programs and co-productions unable to obtain insurance for Covid-19 filming interruptions and shutdowns has been met with relief from producers, though pressing questions remain about how exactly the fund will function.
“This is going to open up the door and the floodgates for a number of productions, smaller productions and producers with less financial means to get their shows up and running again,” says Aren Prupas, VP of business and legal affairs at Muse Entertainment, whose The CW-acquired “Coroner” is currently in production in Toronto. The executive highlighted, however, that the scheme is still woefully “thin on details.”
