Lyell Evans Roeder is an artist, producer, and composer. A pianist since an early age, Lyell began his career in Washington D.C., where he formed electronic/indie-pop duo Tigers Are Bad For Horses. Lauded in D.C. and beyond for their distinctive sound and intricate production, the duo would go on to perform throughout the country, sharing stages with a diverse collection of acts that ranged from Questlove to SHAED, Gallant, Cautious Clay, Misterwives, Wale, and more.
Lyell moved to Los Angeles in 2016 and began writing and producing with a range of artists there that have included Leo James Conroy, Anna Kova, Carmen Vandenberg, Bones UK, Django Stewart, Sonia Leigh, Daphne Willis, Leroy Sanchez, Tish Hyman, Matt Skiba, Daniel Breland, Troy Everett, Richard Trent, Nick Ferraro, Tate Tucker, and Ankit Suri. In 2018 Lyell provided score for the horror game True Fear: Forsaken Souls (Part 2). In 2019 Lyell scored the title sequence for Kitbash3D's collaboration with Twitch. Later in the year, Lyell teamed up with fellow composer Ankit Suri to score acclaimed Indian director Priyadarshan's highly anticipated 2020 film, Marakkar: The Lion of the Arabian Sea.
