Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” is like a more serious version of one of The Beatles’ songs. Del Rey’s tune is a lot better than the Fab Four’s tune. Del Rey’s track was one of her biggest hits in the United States while The Beatles’ track didn’t chart there.
Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” is one of her best songs. It’s lyrically similar to a tune from The Beatles‘ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Despite this, The Beatles’ track has a typically cute Paul McCartney tone.
Why Lana Del Rey’s ‘Young and Beautiful’ is similar to The Beatles’ ‘When I’m Sixty-Four’
In “Young and Beautiful,” Del Rey asks her lover if he will continue to love her as she ages. It’s a deeply emotional tune and one of the most iconic ballads of the 2010s.

Independent dance label Armada Music — founded in 2003 by Dutch trance DJ and producer Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and manager and agent David Lewis — has launched Beat (for “Best Ever Acquired Tracks”), a dance music investment company.
Backed by U.S.-based Pinnacle Financial Partners, the fund plans to invest $100 million in its first two years, with the mission of “acquiring and exploiting recording and music publishing catalogs” amid a flurry of catalog deals across the music sector in recent years. Beat eventually plans to grow its investment to at least $500 million in the coming years.
The investment company’s first acquisitions include two big names. They are for Kms Records’ master recordings catalog from house and techno legend Kevin Saunderson, as well as for the master and publishing catalog of L.A.-based Russian trance DJ and producer Arty, also known as Alpha 9. “Both catalogs of masters will be...

French producers Cedric Gervais and Willy Monfret teamed up on a track this week titled “Make Me Feel.” The new release sees the two producers crafting a monster of a deep house tune that’s perfect for late nights at the club.
“Make Me Feel” opens with a standard house intro, dominated by a pounding kick drum and shuffling hi-hats. Following an ethereal breakdown, Gervais and Monfret introduce a bouncy deep house bass accompanied by soulful vocals repeating the phrase that serves as the tune’s namesake. As if the catchy bass stabs weren’t enough to get crowds moving, the two producers implement a funky saxophone sample throughout the song that takes the energy to new heights.
Cedric Gervais and Willy Monfret truly take it to the next level on their latest effort with uplifting grooves and superior production values that form an unforgettable experience for the listener.

It’s been a couple months since Cedric Gervais released “With You” featuring Jack Wilby, and it’s had some time to reach the ears of electronic music fans given that festival season is under way. And now that people are starting to get familiar with the track, the producer has dropped the official video for the song to expose it to an even wider audience.
The clip uses black-and-white surrealist drawings to depict a romantic night out on the town. Much of the art and animation is stylized with an endearing crudeness, but it somehow makes more sense than it would if everything looked 100% photorealistic throughout.
As for the track itself, “With You” boasts all the hallmarks of mainstream electronic music. Wilby’s rich, soulful vocal is underscored by a elegantly simple piano melody before a series of claps lathers it up to a crescendo of synth stacks at the drop.

With festival season about to kick off, there’s no shortage of artists trying to put out the next big track for the main stage. Cedric Gervais has clearly caught the bug as well, because he’s enlisted Jack Wilby on a song titled “With You” that boasts all the hallmarks of mainstream electronic music.
Wilby’s rich, soulful vocal is underscored by a elegantly simple piano melody before a series of claps lathers it up to a crescendo of synth stacks at the drop. While sonically balanced, the arrangement doesn’t take any creative risks – but for what it is, it doesn’t really have to.
That said, as catchy as it is, “With You” doesn’t feature a whole lot that sets it apart from the rest of the heap. Summer anthems like last year’s “Lean On” always have a wild card element that makes them stand out,...
