Ufc heavyweight Mark Hunt is throwing Major shade at Jon Jones -- calling the guy a "cheating ass loser" after failing his Ufc 214 drug test. Hunt has gone through steroid scandals in the past -- his Ufc 200 opponent tested positive for a banned substance after they fought. Hunt sued the Ufc and demanded Brock Lesnar's fight checks as punishment. So, when Hunt found out about Jones testing positive for his match against Daniel Cormier,...

A post shared by The Super Samoan (@markhuntfighter) on May 27, 2017 at 9:29pm Pdt Stop everything. Put down that burrito you were about to eat. Pull your car over to the side of the road. Walk out of that important meeting at work. Hell, if you're currently giving birth, tell your baby to Stay Put. Jason Momoa did an intense Maori haka in a room full of jacked, shirtless men, and trust me when I say that the video is worth putting life on pause for. The Aquaman star took a break from filming to surprise New Zealand mixed martial arts fighter and friend Mark Hunt (also known as "The Super Samoan"), eventually taking part in a haka with a group of other Mma fighters as a show of support for Hunt's upcoming match. The group war chant is undeniably powerful - Jason actually performed one for his Game of Thrones...

Former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has been suspended for one year by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after failing two drug tests ahead of Ufc 200 in July. The 290-pound human mountain tested positive for a pair of anti-estrogen drugs called clomiphene and hydroxy-clomiphene in both an out-of-competition drug sample collected on June 28 as well as a second sample taken on the night of his fight against Mark Hunt on July 9, Fox Sports reported. Lesnar has also been fined $250,000. The sanctions were part of a signed settlement between Lesnar and the Nsac executive director, Espn reported, following a unanimous vote among Nsac members.

Saturday’s main fight from the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas will now be between WWE superstar Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt in a three-round main event. Jones, who was set to take on Daniel Cormier, tested positive for a banned substance in an out-of-competition sample taken June 16 by the Usada , Jeff Novitzky, Ufc’s vice president of athlete health and performance, said. EA Sports
A little while back, it was announced that Cm Punk would in fact be part of EA’s Ufc 2, the hotly anticipated Mma game to be released later in 2016.
That wasn’t surprising, despite the fact that he has yet to have his first Ufc fight. After all, as a fighter under contract to the Ufc, they have every right to put him in there, regardless of his experience – and lets face it, his name will draw eyeballs just by being in the game. Love him or hate him, Punk brings exposure everywhere he goes. No way was EA going to lose out on that.
Now, the first image of Punk in the game has been released – as has, by way of an advanced report on the game – his in game rating. And it’s that rating that may ruffle some feathers.

Ufc
Coming off a Pay-per-View that was really only saved by its main event (Ufc 179) and a pair of Ufc Fight Nights in a single weekend that couldn’t have been more different (the exciting Fight Night 55 and disappointing Fight Night 56), the Ufc returns with a conundrum of a card at Ufc 180. Plagued by injuries that saw Diego Sanchez and Joe Lauzon, amongst others, both depart from the card, and a critical injury to headliner and heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, Ufc 180 has lost a lot of its shine – but there are still three key fights that have major relevance to the featherweight, welterweight and heavyweight divisions.
Not the least of these is the heavyweight division, where an interim heavyweight champion will be crowned. Since defeating Brock Lesnar years ago, Cain Velasquez has fought only two men, a total of five times between them: Antonio Silva (twice), and Junior Dos Santos...

After a rather lackluster October, the Ufc has several events in November featuring mouthwatering fights. The disappointment of Cain Velasquez being injured was a massive blow to Ufc 180. That doesn’t take away from what should be a fascinating interim title bout between Fabricio Werdum and Mark Hunt. You’ll never hear many complaints about two top-level heavyweights headlining an event.
There are still several other fights to look forward to this month. We’ll see the first ever live event from Mexico. There will also be intriguing matchups in cities such as Sydney and Austin. Despite the well-justified claim of over saturation, there is one benefit to having more events. We get to see more five round fights for a matchup that people have been waiting to see for weeks. Five round fights can also give fans an indication on whether the fighter is ready to challenge for a title shot or not.

Lets start with a little disclaimer, shall we?
We’re big, big Mark Hunt fans. Love the guy. He can really do no wrong. He always puts on a show, was the first man to knock out Big Country in the Ufc, and is the promotion’s number one all time comeback story. Just a fantastic turnaround tale, going from losing six straight fights to earning title relevancy, and having one of the best heavyweight bouts of all time in 2013 with Antonio Silva.
Still, when we heard Hunt was granted an interim title shot against Fabricio Werdum at Ufc 180 in November, thanks to an injury to the frequently laid up champ Cain Velasquez, we were worried: Werdum in no easy task, and has been on a tear since his return to the Ufc. We’d love to see Hunt win gold, as it would top off a storybook career,...

The Ufc returns to the land of the rising sun next Saturday night, and brings with it one of the most anticipated heavyweight bouts of the year. Mark Hunt vs. Roy Nelson is the Ufc equivalent of Godzilla vs. King Kong, and it tops of an exciting card that also sees appearances by a returning Yoshihiro Akiyama, top women’s bantamweight Miesha Tate, and the always exciting Takanori Gomi, otherwise known as the Fireball Kid.
The card did take a bit of a blow when Urijah Faber was forced out due to injury, and while it is loaded with local talent like many recent Brazilian cards, it avoids some of the criticism of those cards by being a more balanced offering overall. Kiichi Kunimoto, for example, is on a six fight win streak, and is coming off a Performance of the Night submission over Daniel Sarafian. Rin Nakai, known as the Queen of Pancrase,...

The heavyweight division has (no pun intended) some of the biggest names in the Ufc, and a number of big fights have gone down, or been booked, recently. There are never enough big men in the organization’s ranks, however, and a lack of top prospects coming up means we often see the same old names fighting each other again and again. Think Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez fighting three times within two years, or Velasquez meeting Bigfoot Silva twice within that same timeframe.
That’s just the title picture, however. Outside the champ, there are a lot of heavyweight fights we would like to see. A lot of them involve some of the top names in the division, while others involve legends. You have the likes to Josh Barnett, Andrei Arlovski, Alistair Overeem, Roy Nelson, Travis Browne, Mark Hunt, Stipe Miocic, and...

Mark Hunt and Roy “Big Country” Nelson will meet on September 20th, 2014 at Ufc Fight Night: Hunt vs. Nelson in a fight that Ufc and fight fans everywhere have been salivating over for years.
