Exclusive: Daniel Wu is co-writing and developing a comic book series with veteran Marvel, DC and Valiant artist Sean Chen, with plans to adapt the property for film and TV starring Wu.
The project, Evermind, will debut via Kickstarter on Tuesday.
Evermind, from 247 Comics, tells the story of overlooked innovator Lucas Zhang (whose likeness is inspired by Wu), who has worked his entire life to push humanity beyond the bounds of physical limitations with his incredible developments in neurolink technology. But his quest for success has come at a cost. Now, in a desperate attempt to save his own humanity — and the life of his only child — Zhang unleashes a powerful new technology that is too dangerous to be trusted. Now he is selling out and cashing in, and his patented masterworks are serving only two purposes: destruction and desire.

This week I will be revisiting the items from my X-Men sale that were first listed in Week 45. I am using an old Wizard Magazine this time around, as well as the grades and values on Zap Kapow Comics to come at the same issues with a fresh approach. Also this time round there are some new items joining the comics in the X-Men sale (yes I’m still scratching this trading card itch)! Depending on the amount of views/watchers I get on my listings, this will be the last time I list my X-Men comics until the characters join the MCU. Obviously I know I don’t have any key issues, but they are all good to high grade so waiting might be the way to go. I know it is unlikely the MCU is going to directly adapt any of the issues I have but the big...

It takes a lot for a new publisher to get noticed these days and the challenge is to offer up something that hasn’t been seen before. New heroes? Check. New shared universe? Check. Variant covers? Check.
So, NextChapter—a graphic media publisher and distributor formed by and launching from The Great Company, arrives today with something unique. Veteran artist Sean Chen offers up their inaugural title, Wingman: Compendium of an Artist’s First Writing Experience, which showcases his artwork in addition to his first writing. The 9.5” x 12” 64-page softcover comes complete with Chen’s story and commentary on its creation and evolution.
One of the most interesting aspects is that the title will only be available on NextChapter’s website for 24-hours only, starting earlier today at 10:00 a.m. Pdt. The storybook offers readers a look into Chen’s creative process, while random fans who purchase the book...

China’s Midnight Blur Films has sold the rights to Chinese arthouse title “Wisdom Tooth” to French firm Asc Distribution, which will release it theatrically in France later this year.

Set during a freezing winter in a hardscrabble fishing town in China’s industrial northeast, the film tells the story of a shifting web of relationships between a young girl, her beloved brother and his new, charismatic girlfriend. In the years since Batman Beyond concluded its legendary three-season run, its legacy has lived on in the comic book realm. At first, DC continued the adventures started in the animated series itself, but the publisher eventually rolled out stories taking place within comics canon. To put it plainly, Terry McGinnis is officially part of the DC Universe.
One thing in particular that I’ve appreciated about these books is how they’ve introduced new characters inheriting familiar mantles in the future. To list off a few, there have been successors to the likes of Robin, Catwoman, Batgirl and even Hush, with each of them being radically different from their predecessors.
Well, in just a few short months, we’ll be able to add Batwoman to the tally. As it turns out, Batman Beyond #37 will play host to a new scarlet haired heroine who looks like a Terry McGinnis/Kate Kane...
