Chicago – To stand out in the crowded “Christmas Romance” TV movie genre, it starts with a strong script (by Rebecca Weaver) and the right lead actor. “Christmas with Felicity,” now available on the AMC+ app, features Sarah Brooks (“Chicago Med”) as the title character, a burnt-out city dweller looking to find solace back in her small Wisconsin home town.
The film has familiar tropes in the genre. Felicity (Brooks) is a “city mouse’ gal from Chicago whose fiancé left her, and at the same time she has lost her bakery business. On to snowy Wisconsin she goes, to escape the situation and rest at her parent’s home. Unfortunately for her, it’s the holiday season, and she’s not in the mood. Enter James (Herb Porter), a holiday-loving optimist who also happens to be a Christmas tree and dairy farmer. Will the sparks fly?

Chicago – The challenge of creating a “Christmas Romance” TV movie, in a field that is saturated with contenders, would perplex even Orson Welles. But Chicago-based director Jack C. Newell was up to the task, as he took a script from Rebecca Weaver and put his spin on the holiday rom-com “Christmas with Felicity,” now available on the AMC+ app.

As Baphomet opens, a Satanic cult sacrifices a naked woman while their leader Henrik Brandr promises soon they won’t have to hide in the shadows. It’s an ominous opening, only slightly marred by Brandr seeming to pronounce the ruler of Hell’s name as “Satin”.
Whatever the cult has planned involves a ranch owned by Jacob Richardson and his wife Elena (Ivy Opdyke; Hide the Monster). Brandr sends his son Askel to convince them to sell. He doesn’t manage that, but a picture of their pregnant daughter Rebecca (Rebecca Weaver) and her husband Mark (Matthan Harris) catches his eye.
Not one to take no for an answer Henrik literally unleashes Hell on the family. They turn to researcher Lon Carlson and...

There's not much to this brief teaser trailer, but we want to feature it anyway in order to put this little film on you radar while they finish it up before release. Night Run is an 80s throwback horror action thriller made by filmmaker Erick Solis, already filmed and heading into post-production now. It was crowdfunded on Indiegogo and they're trying to finish it up and get it ready for release sometime soon. Described as a "supernatural Death Wish" of sorts, this is about a construction worker who resurrects on Halloween night looking for the men that murdered him a year before. The rad synth score in this teaser is by Crockett, and I can't wait to hear more of it. The cast includes Tyler Cole, Jake Hays, Cameron Tagge, and Rebecca Weaver. We'll be keeping an eye on this project and watching out for more updates/trailers as they arrive.
