James Corden announced he'd be leaving "The Late Late Show" back in April 2022, telling Deadline at the time that he was "so immensely proud of the show," before revealing he'd been "really been thinking about it for a long time, thinking whether there might be one more adventure."
Alas, the adventure has mercifully come to a close after eight years of Corden gracing our screens. The "Cats" star took over from previous "Late Late Show" host Craig Ferguson in March 2015, and has been providing us with his unctuous brand of late night shenanigans ever since — penetrating the culture with memorable segments such as Carpool Karaoke and ... y'know, probably some others.
For his send-off, Corden managed to bring together all the late night talk show hosts for a sketch in which they, too, struggle to recall any "Late Late Show" bits that aren't Carpool Karaoke. Of course, they do a lot more than that.

So, How Was Your 2020? is a series in which our favorite entertainers answer our questionnaire about the music, culture and memorable moments that shaped their year. We’ll be rolling these pieces out throughout December.
Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Tim Heidecker enjoyed a productive 2020 as the comedian prepped his first-ever standup special, starred in the comedy series Moonbase 8 — about three astronauts marooned at a NASA training base in Arizona — and released his “serious” solo album Fear of Death, where he pondered dying, eternal resting places and the afterlife.

Turner Broadcasting has bid farewell to Super Deluxe -- a comedy programmer for both digital and linear screens perhaps best known for creating shows alongside distinct characters like “messy bitch” Joanne The Scammer, hypebeast DIYer Tabasko Sweet, and political satirist Vic Berger.
Super Deluxe was founded in 2007 and quickly shuttered a year and a half later. Turner then revived the Los Angeles-based comedy brand roughly three years ago. “However, there are now massive changes in the social and mobile-first ecosystem and duplication with other business units in our new WarnerMedia portfolio,” Turner said in a statement. At&T acquired Turner’s parent company, Time Warner, for $85 billion earlier this year, and subsequently formed a new media division within At&T dubbed WarnerMedia.
“Super Deluxe found inspiring ways of connecting with a new generation,” the company continued, “and many of their best practices will be adopted by other Turner properties as we...

Turner-owned digital studio Super Deluxe, which is known for its comedic series and irreverent character creations, has struck a particular chord with a pseudo streetstyle vlogger named Tabasko Sweet -- who has become one of the network's most beloved personalities (alongside self-described “messy bitch” Joanne The Scammer and political satirist Vic Berger).
In his one-year-old series titled Cheap Thrills, 22-year-old Tabasko -- né Nate Contreras -- simultaneously satirizes and celebrates hypebeast culture (or those obsessed with streetwear fashion) while teaching viewers how to create Diy designer fashions at a fraction of the price. In his most popular video to date, for instance, Contreras instructs viewers how to make their own Gucci sandals -- which are somewhat legit-looking and somewhat gnarly -- with red and green electrical tape.

The two-year-old Super Deluxe channel, operated by Turner, is known for featuring funnypeople like Joanne the Scammer and Vic Berger, but its upcoming slate will include several ventures into more serious territory. It will produce a supernatural drama called Chambers, which has been picked up by Netflix.
Chambers will follow the recipient of a heart transplant, who will uncover a gripping tale as she investigates the life of the donor who saved her life. Netflix has given the series a direct-to-series order that consists of ten episodes. An official release date has not yet been announced.
Beyond Chambers, Super Deluxe is working on at least one more serious project. Two of driving forces of HBO's Silicon Valley -- executive producer Alec Berg and actor Kumail Nanjiani -- will team up once again for a series based off My Beautiful Laundrette, the 1985 indie film about a young Pakistani and his British boyfriend.
