Sam Hendersons is an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Film at Baylor University. He was named as one of the 25 Screenwriters to Watch by Austin Film Festival and MovieMaker Magazine in recognition of his scripts, Break (2022) which he co-wrote with frequent collaborator, Ryan Romine, and his award-winning teleplay, The Walls. His most recent short films, Con Alma (2020) and Break (2022), appeared at the Oscar-qualifying festivals, Austin Film Festival, St. Louis International Film Festival and Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival.
Sam is also a professional actor and has appeared in numerous productions across the country. He received his MFA in acting from the prestigious Old Globe Professional Actor Training Program in San Diego.
