Industrial techno auteurs Health have returned with the one-off single “Hateful,” which is dropping alongside the latest software update for the first-person shooter game Ultrakill.
Co-written with Sierra, the track is an immediate head-nodder with pulsing electronic percussion and swathes of noise and shoegazing textures. Overall, Health take a more dance-pop approach as opposed to their harsher industrial tendencies, with Street Sects’ Leo Ashlin providing the appropriate melodic backing vocals.
“Back to the cyber grind,” the band said of the song, which is getting the spotlight in the latest Ultrakill update. Health themselves have even been rendered in the game’s old-school graphic style (as seen above), and more collaborations between Health and Ultrakill “will be announced soon.”
The game is described as a “ultra-violent” old-school Fps and has received widespread praise for evoking classic shooters such as Doom, Quake, and Unreal Tournament.

“Dizzy” reunites Zombie Juice with longtime collaborators The Underachievers, the rap duo who are also part of the Brooklyn supergroup Beast Coast with Flatbush Zombies and Pro Era. Juice calls out biters on his verse, rapping, “Said she liked my necklace, started relaxing/ When I’m off three drugs like a chain reaction/ Everybody giving gang signs and seein’ what happen/ How you copy all the drip but you callin’ it fashion.”

Flatbush Zombies’ Zombie Juice is stepping out on his own with Love Without Conditions, his first-ever solo album. The LP arrives in full on April 21st, while the first single “Hikari” is available now.
Zombie Juice hasn’t shared much about Love Without Conditions, but a press release promises the project delves into the rapper’s experiences with dark subject matter including abuse, homelessness, and loss. It’s being released on his own record label, Terp World.
The first look at the record, “Hikari,” reckons with the strange longing one feels for chaos after living within tumult. “She love trauma, love drama/ Love what I love, but when love is not enough…,” Zombie Juice raps, before admitting, “Sabotage everything like I don’t give a fuck.” Sensual horns add to the track as the artist croons, “I just want the best for you, even if I ain’t for you.

Flatbush Zombies’ Meechy Darko has teamed up with Freddie Gibbs and DJ/producer A-Trak for a new song, “On God,” off his upcoming solo debut, Gothic Luxury.
Produced by Jay Versace and Dot Da Genius, “On God” begins with a grandiose flourish but settles into a groove that’s still propulsive, but also subtle and unsettling in its own ways. Meechy Darko and Freddie Gibbs trade sprawling, heavy, and brutally honest verses on the five-minute track, while A-Trak arrives at the end to show off his signature scratching skills.

Flatbush Zombies recruited the University of Southern California Trojan Marching Band for a brassy, electrifying rendition of “Headstone” during the Brooklyn rap trio’s visit to The Late Late Show.
Making their first late-night appearance in three years, Flatbush Zombies revisited the first single off their 2018 album Vacation in Hell with help from the “Spirit of Troy” collegiate band that famously added horns and percussion to Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk” back in 1979. At the 3:30-mark of the performance, host James Corden is spotted dancing along at the side of the stage.
