She has traveled all over the country and world on breaking news stories, including the Navy Yard Shooting, Boston Marathon Bombings, Sandusky Trial, Fort Hood, and the Virginia Tech Tragedy.
Her exclusive interview with Zimmerman Juror B37 for Anderson Cooper aired on all major networks. She secured the first national interview with Cleveland Kidnapping hero Charles Ramsey for Anderson Cooper. She traveled to Argentina, covering the story of Governor Mark Sanford. And she has been on the field for three Super Bowls, interviewing the major players for the winning teams.
Her awards include an Edward R Murrow for "Spot News Coverage, the Minneapolis Bridge Collapse." She received an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in a Regularly Scheduled Broadcast" for her work on the Pittsburgh Gym Shooting. She also received an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding News Discussion and Analysis" at CNN for "Guns Under Fire: An AC360 Town Hall." While she was at GMA, the show received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Morning Broadcast four years in a row.
