Big Season 1 finale twists set up School Spirits’ Season 2 in many ways.
The last time audiences saw Peyton List's Maddie Nears, she had just remembered that she wasn't ever killed in the first place. Instead, another spirit belonging to the mysterious Janet Hamilton forcefully took over her body.
To make matters worse, she all but lost her best friend in the real world and was blindsided by the betrayal of Josh Zuckerman's Mr. Martin.

Just who exactly is Janet Hamilton in Paramount+'s School Spirits?
The streaming show, which is now also on Netflix, follows Maddie Nears, a young girl who finds herself stuck in the afterlife at her high school with no memory of how she died in the first place.
It does not take long for Maddie to hear the name Janet. She was a fellow resident of the afterlife who was a part of group therapy but supposedly moved on just before Nears arrived.

New York, Sep 2 (Ians) Rates of severe Covid disease may be staying at relatively low levels in the US, but experts agree that there are probably more infections than the current surveillance systems can capture, reports CNN.
Virus levels in the US have been on the rise for weeks and federal data suggests that the current increases have stayed far below earlier peaks and notable surges.
“But judging by word of mouth among family, friends and coworkers, it can seem like everyone knows someone who’s sick with Covid-19 right now,” the report noted.
“There is more transmission out there than what the surveillance data indicates,” said Janet Hamilton, executive director of the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists. “We should be paying attention to it, because we are starting to see an increase.”
