Exclusive: The Talk may be wrapping up after 15 seasons in December, but Executive Producer Rob Crabbe and his team are not going down without a fight.
For the first time in its history, The Talk will invite guest comedians on the show to yuk it up for the crowd and cameras. “Stand Up At The Talk” will launch April 26 and return each Friday.
Hosts Sheryl Underwood, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, Akbar Gbajabiamila and Amanda Kloots will move off stage so the set can be transformed into a comedy club. The featured standup will then perform a 5-minute set for the audience.
“I am excited to bring two things I love together — standup comedy and The Talk,” Underwood, who’s a comedian herself, tells Deadline. “This is the first time The Talk has done a standup series, but it won’t be the last. See you every Friday!”

On January 29, 2024, NBC aired Episode 5 of “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League.” The new spin-off series marks the return of former judge Mel B as she joins Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel in a head-to-head competition to mentor an all-star “AGT” act through the season to victory. Terry Crews is back once again for hosting duties.
Over eight weeks of shows, the judges’ Dream Teams of 10 will be narrowed down until only one stands as the newest “AGT” champion and takes home the $250,000 cash prize. That act will also give their mentor the first coach’s win in “AGT” history. Now that that the semi-finals are upon us, the remaining acts are one step closer to the finale. Per NBC, “During each episode, we’ll see 10 Acts compete, but just three will earn a spot in the Final via one Superfan Vote and two Golden Buzzers.” But who were...

The fifth episode of “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League” upped the ante on the immense level of talent thanks to the first group of semi-finalists. But one particular moment stood out for all the wrong reasons, as judge Heidi Klum called out one of the contestants, magician Anna Deguzman, for being “rude” toward her fellow panelist, Mel B. In the end, the Season 18 runner-up offered up a heartfelt apology, but not before Heidi told her, “That did not make me like you so much.”
It all started when Anna asked Mel and Howie Mandel to help her out with her close-up trick on the big stage. Midway through the act, the Bergenfield, NJ magician instructed Mel to pick either a $1 bill or a $100 bill, and when Mel inexplicably chose a $20 bill (which was not one of the options), Anna chuckled and stated, “It’s okay, you’re pretty.”

In this semi-finals round, 11 acts per night perform in front of judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara.
Of the 11 acts on the August 31 live show, only five of them will advance to the “AGT” finals. These 11 acts include two singled out for the Golden Buzzer: Sofia’s choice, singer Jimmie Herrod and host Terry Crews‘ pick, World Taekwondo Demonstration Team Martial Arts Group.

Exclusive: Alex Landi (Grey’s Anatomy) is set for a recurring role opposite Keegan Allen and Jared Padalecki in the CW’s Walker, a reimagining of CBS’ long-running 1990s action/crime series Walker, Texas Ranger, from Rideback and CBS Studios.
Like the original series, created by Albert S. Ruddy & Leslie Greif, the reboot, in which Walker is getting a female partner, will explore morality, family and rediscovering our lost common ground. It centers on Cordell Walker (Padalecki), a widower and father of two with his own moral code who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home.
Landi will play Bret, Liam’s (Allen) fiancé. Bret is genuinely in love with Liam – but he thinks Manhattan is the place to be, and that he and Liam should lead a swellegant life where the only horses are in Central Park.

He’s funny, and everyone loves that about him. Preacher Lawson made us all laugh when he brought his talents to our living rooms on “America’s Got Talent,” and he hasn’t stopped since. He’s a guy with a great sense of humor, which is always a fan-favorite, but most people fail to realize he is so much more than just a funny guy and a comedian for hire. An understandable if tricky to navigate instinct during these many months of quarantine is the instinct to create meaningful art out of These Times. Even as the entire world goes on pause, creativity marches stubbornly on, hoping to make sense out of senseless things. But with no end in sight, it’s just about impossible for any art about the pandemic made during the pandemic to shed much light on what’s happening besides the fact that everyone feels like they’re losing their minds. That’s held true for TV shows about life in isolation that lean heavily on social distancing and Zoom. Something like Freeform’s “Love in the Time of Corona” or HBO’s “Coastal Elites,” while well-intentioned, failed to capture much about this era beyond the fact that it’s surreal. On the face of it, “Connecting…”, NBC’s new show about socially distanced friends shot in quarantine,...

Exclusive: 30 Rock alum Keith Powell, Jill Knox (Keith Broke A Leg), Shakina Nayfack (Transparent), Ely Henry (Suburgatory) and Preacher Lawson (America’s Got Talent) are set as series regulars in NBC comedy series Connecting, from Blindspot creator/exec producer Martin Gero, his frequent collaborator Brendan Gall and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content Studios.
Written and executive produced by Gero and Gall, Connecting, which has received an eight-episode straight-to-series order, is an ensemble comedy about a group of friends trying to stay close (and sane) through video chats as they share the highs and lows of these extraordinary times.
Nayfack will play Ellis, a pragmatic, type-a and a huge Clippers fan. Powell and Knox, who are married in real-life, will play husband and wife Garrett and Michelle, who are thriving in quarantine. Henry will play Rufus, paranoid and conspiracy minded, he’s more comfortable online than off. Lawson will portray Ben.

“America’s Got Talent” has gone through many different facelifts at the judging panel, but one person has stayed put for the past 11 seasons: Howie Mandel. This Canadian comedian originally joined up with NBC’s reality TV show in Season 5, where he had big shows to fill as David Hasselhoff‘s replacement. Howie sat beside Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne for two seasons, with Howard Stern stepping in for Piers in Season 7 and Heidi Klum & Mel B taking over for Sharon in Season 8.
Over the past decade Howie has made a name for himself as the funniest and wildest panelist, but also someone with a keen eye for talent. In fact, his Golden Buzzer Grace VanderWaal ended up winning Season 11 and becoming one of the most successful “Agt” acts of all time. Below, see our four reasons why Howie Mandel is simply the best judge on “America’s Got Talent.”
