Sukantti, born as Stephania Sánquiz, is an Actor, Singer, Dancer, Yogini and animal advocate. Sukantti, her artistic name means "the most loved one".
She was born in December 9th in Caracas, Venezuela, raised by Gabriela Donelli, widow mother, dancer, pharmaceutic and fitness instructor. Sukantti grew up under Italian family in Coro, Falcón and at the age of 17 she moved to Caracas motivated by her burning desire of being an Artist. In Caracas she was granted a scholarship to study acting for film in RCTV (Radio Caracas Television) after her famous controversial audition that lead her between the last 8 participants in the singing television show: "Fame, Sweat and Tears". She started to work in Television Soap Operas like "Mi Prima Ciela" before the dictatorial government closed the television channel.
Fleeing from a dictatorship system in Venezuela, Sukantti moved to New York, the place she always dreamed off, completing two years conservatory of Musical Theater & Acting for Film in New York Film Academy with a scholarship. She starred in the role of Holly, in the Off-Broadway Musical "The Wedding Singer" in Conelly Theater, East Village, Manhattan. Working in short films and movie musicals like "StartUp.com" in New York she continued her work as a songwriter creating pop music and promoting independently her very first single: "Magic is Here", a pop song that reached position N*1 Top Latino in the Official Billboard Record Report in Venezuela. "Magic Is Here" video clip became one of the most popular videos in HTV Música channel.
Sukantti played the role of "Rita" in "Marriage Material", an Academy Award nominee movie musical, the very first movie musical in the history of American Film Institute.
One of her most relevant experiences was in 2008, where Sukantti lived in India and found a spiritual master in Vedic wisdom who taught her Bhakti Yoga, she practiced devotional service and did pilgrimage around the sacred lands in India like Vrindavan. Touched by that experience, she devoted her life to service and started developing projects to share that knowledge with others.
Living in Los Angeles, California, she became an activist bringing awareness about the preservation of nature and animals. "I'm playing the role of an Artist in this life but I want the service to be always present in my journey", said Sukantti in one of her interviews.
