Jacob Schwartz was born on April 13, 1987 in Miami, Florida, to Michael Schwartz, an attorney and Debra Dayan, a Hebrew school tutor He was raised in Florida. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Psychology. He was in a garage band known as Catch that Plane, and starting growing an interest in acting when he was asked to perform several projects for the school as the Joker. His career has largely been in customer service managing different contact centers for software fin-tech companies. He was in an indie film, Alison in Wonderland that was filmed throughout Massachussetts and Rhode Island where he played the Mad Hatter and Alison's boyfriend.
Recently, after having two children and moving back to Florida, he decided to pick up his hobby again and began acting. He began doing short film projects for the school Full Sail where he met Eddie McDonald on the set of the Dark Things (2021) where he played a scheming cars salesman, and the two have collaborated on several projects since.
In 2022 he filmed his own passion project, a fan-made chronicle series of shorts within the Batman universe. He wrote, produced, co-directed and starred in the series as the Joker.
From 2021 to 2023 he's reengaged in acting, completing projects My Name is Mud (2021), where he played a serial killing southerner who captures a local deputy, The Red Line (2021) where he played a detective hung up on a case over a missing girl, The King of Christmas (2022) entered into the Orlando Independent Filmmakers Festival where he played a struggling dad who can't keep up with his son he's lost custody over, Campaign Season (2023) where he was a menacing and corrupt City Councilman kidnapped. He has future projects coming out, Helpline (2023), The Clown's Den (2023), and Ti Amo (2023)
Off-screen, Schwartz has been married twice, has two children with his second wife, and has published a children's fiction novel, Jacob Wesley and the Dark Lights.
