An NCIS: Origins cast video was released to get potential viewers excited.
This new show from the NCISverse is taking some risks, as the producers hope fans want to see stories from younger versions of some important characters.
Flashback episodes of NCIS went over very well, with stories like when Leroy Jethro Gibbs first met Donald Mallard. They even had Mark Harmon’s son (Sean Harmon) play a younger version of Gibbs.
The idea to do flashbacks has been fleshed out into a full series, with episodes of NCIS: Origins debuting in Fall 2024.
The new show gets the 10/9c timeslot on Mondays that has been vacated by NCIS: Hawai’i. Unfortunately, the Vanessa Lachey NCIS spin-off was canceled by CBS.
NCIS Season 22 will air on Mondays at 9/8c in the fall, serving as the lead-in for this new prequel show.

The NCIS: Origins cast added another big piece of the puzzle.
An announcement was made that the producers added someone to play Gibbs’ dad – and they made a great choice.
The new show from the NCISverse is set in 1991, telling early stories from NCIS that revolve around Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Mike Franks.
Mark Harmon played Gibbs on NCIS, but the younger version of the character will be played by someone new.
Some NCIS fans felt that Mark Harmon’s son (Sean Harmon) could do the role, especially with how well he played a younger Gibbs in flashback episodes of NCIS.
Actor Austin Stowell is now playing Gibbs, which might be hard for some NCIS fans to accept.

Well, when we spoke with Rocky Carroll, he did say that “procedurals—and this procedural in particular—are very reminiscent of what Westerns meant to television in the ’60s and ’70s,” so why not bring a bit of a Western vibe with some casting into the world of NCIS? Robert Taylor, who starred on the western Longmire, has been cast in the recurring role of Gibbs’ hard-nosed father, Jackson, in the upcoming prequel NCIS: Origins. Austin Stowell will be playing the young version of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, with Mark Harmon, who starred for 19 seasons as the character on NCIS, narrating and executive producing the series. Another week, another major player on "Power Book II: Ghost" meets a tragic fate - though many viewers probably saw this one coming. This time, the hit "Power" spinoff bid farewell to the nuisance that is Detective Kevin Whitman (Jeff Hephner) after he overstepped his boundaries one too many times with Monet (Mary J. Blige).
Ever since the death of Monet's nephew son Zeke (Daniel Bellomy), Whitman has been hot on her tracks trying to pin a murder on her that he thinks she committed, aka Carrie Milgram's (which she committed for sleeping around with Zeke). Whitman, a too-dedicated-to-his-job detective, has also been working with federal prosecutor Jenny Sullivan (Paton Ashbrook) and Detective Blanca Rodriguez (Monique Gabriela Curnen) to aid their Rico case that could get Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.), Brayden (Gianni Paolo), and the Tejadas - Cane (Woody McClain), Dru (Lovell Adams-Gray...

Power Book II: Ghost dropped its third season premiere on Friday titled “Your Perception, Your Reality” and as expected, it’s filled with sadness and frustration following the tragic events of last season.
Monet (Mary J. Blige) is really going through it following the murder of her son Zeke (Daniel Bellomy). She’s lost her way and healing can only begin by her avenging his death—an eye for an eye. Good news, "Power Book II: Ghost" fans. After what feels like forever, the hit spinoff's third season finally has a premiere date - which means we're one step closer to finding out what happens after season two's dramatic cliffhanger finale. Additionally, on Dec. 15, Starz unveiled all-new details about season three, including a short teaser that shows Michael Rainey Jr.'s Tariq getting blood on his hands (literally) as secrets, lies, and more trouble threaten to shake his world up yet again.
"Power Book II: Ghost" got the green light for season three around this time last year, not even halfway through season two. It's obvious the second installment of the Power franchise has become a major hit, almost as big as its predecessor, and much of that has to do with Michael Rainey Jr.'s Tariq St. Patrick anchoring the series.

Starz has handed a second season order to Power Book IV: Force.
The renewal announcement Wednesday follows strong ratings for the February 6 debut of the third spinoff in the Power franchise, which notched the most-watched series premiere in Starz history, with 3.3 million multiplatform views in the U.S. alone.
Power Book IV: Force will have a new showrunner in Season 2. Gary Lennon is taking over as showrunner/executive producer for series creator Robert Munic, who will not be involved with the new season. This is a reunion of sorts for Force leading man Joseph Sikora and Lennon as the latter was the co-showrunner on the original Power for its sixth and final season in 2019-2020.
The series, which hails from Courtney Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Lionsgate Television, centers around Tommy Egan, played by Sikora, after he cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good.

The never-ending cycle of drama continues to raise the stakes in "Power Book II: Ghost." While the show's season two finale closed the book on some character's chapters, it opened up a whole new can of worms as more secrets and bodies pile up. The show's second season leaves off with a few cliffhangers that will certainly blow up in season three - including the murders of Monet's (Mary J. Blige) son Zeke (Daniel Bellomy) and her former lover/child's father, Mecca (Daniel Sunjata). And somewhere between all the mayhem is Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) who, fresh off his murder trial, will likely be roped into another investigation.
"Tariq ties up these loose ends and as soon as those get tied up, another end gets loose."
"As we saw in the end, they got [Detective] Blanca and she pulled up some pictures of Tariq, and she's familiar with him so we...

Season two of "Power Book II: Ghost" is filled with shockers and pulse-pounding moments that bring the show to an epic conclusion. The final episode, "Love and War," aired on Feb. 6 and had viewers in an uproar over everything that went down. Just when we thought the storm around Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) and the Tejadas had finally calmed down, it's clear more drama will await them next season.

Spoiler Alert: The following interview reveals major plot points from the Season 2 finale of Starz’ Power Book II: Ghost.
The Starz drama Power Book II: Ghost wrapped up its second season on Sunday with a reminder that there is no room for the virtuous in this universe. Not since the murder of Tariq St. Patrick’s (Michael Rainey Jr) twin sister Raina (Donshea Hopkins) in Season 4 of Power, has a death effectively conveyed how easy it is to lose an innocent, avenge their death, and then find a way to move on and continue to live in this grey area where only money and power matter.
But, will the death of Ezekiel “Zeke” Cross (Daniel Bellomy),—in tonight’s episode, “Love and War”— serve as the force to tilt the axis towards betterment?
Zeke was murdered in cold blood by Lorenzo Tejada (Berto Colon) in a case of mistaken identity...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains details about tonight’s Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 finale.
“Look, there’s a lot in this show that is about family trauma and it’s about the perpetuation of family trauma,” says Power Book II: Ghost creator Courtney Kemp of the Michael Rainey Jr. and Mary J. Blige-led series that unveiled a very deadly Season 2 finale tonight.
“You see Tariq trying to end the cycle by getting his sister back to their mom,” the showrunner and Powerverse boss notes of Rainey’s character saving the Paris Morgan played Yasmine from being adopted and the Naturi Naughton portrayed Tasha. “You see Tariq trying to be a better version of himself which is really following in his father’s footsteps a different way,” Kemp adds of the now hustling Tariq and the shadow of Omari Hardwick’s deceased drug kingpin James St. Patrick.

Starz’s “Power Book II: Ghost,” the first spinoff from parent series “Power,” is settling into an identity that its stubborn predecessor would not. It’s kitsch TV, even though fans and creators (Courtney Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson) tried to convince themselves otherwise. That confusion mimicked the duality of original series star Omari Hardwick’s James “Ghost” St. Patrick, drug kingpin and family patriarch, burdened with a complication Michael Corleone succinctly expressed when he said: “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!”
That original show was no “Godfather.” A tawdry soap opera that took itself too seriously, “Power” aimed for greater heights, unsuccessfully. But its successor is content to be just a caricature of superior crime dramas that came before it.
Heading into the “Power” series finale in early 2020, Starz milked the “Who Killed Ghost?” advertising catchphrase, mobilizing a large, dedicated fanbase that helped...

Being under Monet Tejada's thumb has never been easy for her children or her nephew.
And when Power Book II: Ghost returns for a second season, there will still be a lot of tension between Monet and Dru and some exciting developments as both Diana and Zeke look to forge their own paths.
TV Fanatic spoke with Daniel Bellomy, Latoya Tonodeo, and Lovell Adams-Gray about the dynamics of their characters with queenpin Monet and how much the Power fans have embraced them.
Daniel, Zeke seems to be pulled in a lot of different directions, and he seems to want to please people, but ultimately sometimes it seems like that can be at the expense of his happiness. So, can you kind of speak to that and what you think Zeke ultimately wants for himself?
Daniel: I think family is definitely one of Zeke's core values. I mean, he wants that closeness.

"What artists do is as important as anything else..." Gravitas has released a trailer for an indie film titled Paint, from filmmaker Michael Walker. The film, which premiered at Dances with Films this year, is a dark comedic journey about young NYC artists as they struggle to sell their first paintings. The film won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature at Dances with Films and will be out on VOD in December. Three friends from art school struggle to start their careers in the bizarre NYC art world, while trying to get by in life and figure themselves out. Starring Josh Caras, Olivia Luccardi, Paul Cooper, Comfort Clinton, Amy Hargreaves, François Arnaud, Vince Nappo, Kaliswa Brewster, Daniel Bellomy. This looks quite good! A smart script that's brutally honest about the absurdity of the art world. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Michael Walker's Paint, direct from YouTube: Paint...
