His rights were traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in July 2013 after White's alleged mental health issues, including a fear of flying, led the Rockets to suspend him in January for failing to perform, as per his contract. White has blamed his disorders for several run-ins with the law during his amateur career, which led to being kicked out of two schools.
