“The Terminal List,” a new thriller series starring Chris Pratt, will premiere on Prime Video July 1, the streamer announced Thursday.
Based on the novel of the same name by Jack Carr, “The Terminal List” follows James Reece (Pratt), a Navy Seal who returns to civilian life after his team is ambushed during a high-stakes mission. Struggling with conflicting memories of the event, Reece soon has to go back to action when he discovers threats against his family and loved ones.
Pratt anchors the large ensemble cast of the series, which also includes Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, Jai Courtney, Jd Pardo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Lamonica Garrett, Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch, Warren Kole, and Alexis Louder. The final day of the 2019 winter Television Critics Assn. press tour brought Cleo TV, BYUtv and Amazon Prime Video to Pasadena, Calif. Executives from BYUtv discussed their desire to reach a “broad audience,” despite being owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, while executives from Amazon announced the order of almost 20 international series but said there was no real update on the “Lord of the Rings” series just yet. Actress Caitlin Carmichael has landed the female lead in the new series Dwight in Shining Armor, set for the BYUtv network.
The series is a contemporary fish out of water original scripted comedy with Carmichael as “Gretta,” a young warrior princess who has been sleeping for a thousand years and wakes up in the 21st century with no understanding of the world around her.
Carmichael was recently seen in a recurring role on Fox’s The Mick, and next up plays a young Olivia Wilde in the Amazon film Life Itself, which will be released in September. She has also appeared on Young Sheldon and in the film Wheelman.
