Sofia Bobtcheva was born in 1985 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She was raised
in Sofia but she travels all around the world with her family, because
her father is a pilot. She lives in Canada for a couple of years and
then she goes back in Sofia to apply for the National academy for
theatre and film arts - ''NATFA'' in Bulgaria. She is accepted in the
class of prof. Stefan Danailov - one of the most beloved movie stars in
Bulgaria. She is making role after role and when she finally graduate
in 2008 she is immediately invited to sign a contract with the theatre
in Lovech, Bulgaria. There she plays in ''The Big Money'', ''Profesion
of Miss Louran'', ''Kaprizite na Mariqna'' and other. In 2010 she
leaves Lovech and she goes to Pazardzik where she plays in
''Tavanyt'',''Kanton 117'' and other. She goes back in Sofia to study
for Master in the academy and there she meets prof. Margarita Mladenova
and professor Plamen Markov where she plays one of her best roles -
Issabelle in ''La'Illusion'' by Corneille. She is invited to replace a
young actess in the play ''I Pay'' in the National theatre ''Ivan
Vazov'' and with big success - she sign a contract and for now she
plays on one of the biggest stages in the Balkanian peninsula. She has
a premiere on 28th February 2013 in ''The Eyes Of Others'' by Ivan
Dimitrov and another premiere in the short-film ''Shht...Sing to me''
by Andrey Volkasin and Petyr Vuchev where she plays the lead character
- Veska.
