Mohanad Hayal was born in Iraq in Nasiriyah city in 1985. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Cinematic Arts from the University of Baghdad. His latest feature film "Haifa Street" won eight international awards, including the Best Asian Film Award in the official competition of the Busan International Festival, and the Best Film Award and Best Arab Actor Award in Cairo International Festival, His films participated in many international film festivals, including the Berlin and Venice International Festivals, the Carthage Film Festival, Tribeca and Goteborg. Muhannad established the first grant for independent films in Iraq through his work as a film advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Culture in 2020, as these grants contributed to supporting more than 15 films long and short cinematic in Iraq, Mohanad also worked in TV field, where he produced, wrote and directed many TV series such as "The Red Zone" as a producer and "The Deep State" as a writer, the last one was "New Baghdad" as a director and writer, which been appreciated wide audiences in Iraq. As for the field of film production, he is a co-producer in many feature films. Including "Exam " by Shawkat Amin and " Messi Baghdad "and the hidden beauty of Suhaim Omar Khalifa
