Jevon Frank, a dedicated film producer, has worked diligently to create a diverse and socially conscious portfolio in the industry. Over the years, he has explored various film genres and crafted stories that aim to connect with audiences worldwide.
After studying at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Journalism, Jevon embarked on his journey in film production, collaborating with clients such as AAA and CBS Television. His experience also includes producing segments for Johnson Publications' Ebony & Jet Magazines and promotional projects for Universal Music and Atlantic Records.
One of Jevon's early television productions, "Life's Essentials with Ruby Dee," delves into the life stories of iconic actors Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, touching on themes of lasting love, enduring art, and tireless activism. The documentary was acquired for broadcast by Viacom/BET.
Jevon went on to produce the HBO documentary "Yusuf Hawkins: Storm Over Brooklyn," which highlights the aftermath of the tragic murder of 16-year-old Yusuf Hawkins by a white mob in 1989 New York City.
His most recent project, "Cassius X: Becoming Ali," produced for the Smithsonian Channel, chronicles the transformative journey of a young Cassius Clay as he fights through adversity to become the legendary boxing icon, Muhammad Ali.
