Bad sequels are far from a rarity, as there have been numerous instances where a sequel fails to recapture the original’s spirit, and Wonder Woman 1984 is no exception. Despite dropping the ball hard with the main conflict between Batman and Superman, Dawn of Justice did succeed in doing Diana Prince’s introduction to the Dceu justice.
Moreover, this was followed by arguably the best film in the Dceu, Wonder Woman, which made waves upon its release, making Gal Gadot one of the biggest names in the business. Unfortunately, the sequel failed to live up to its universally acclaimed predecessor, and its weak antagonist isn’t the lone aspect that contributed to it.
Wonder Woman 1984 Failed to Deliver on Many Fronts A still from Wonder Woman 1984 | Warner Bros.
Throughout its run, the Dceu had a major villain problem, whether it be Steppenwolf in the theatrical version of Justice League or Enchantress in Suicide Squad.

Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Three Cover Art Reveals The Movie's Lead Characters
When the news broke during last year's San Diego Comic-Con that the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book was being turned into a three-part animated movie, DC fans rejoiced.
The CW previously adapted the story for the Arrowverse, but this version had the opportunity to bring together countless animated characters from across the Dcau in an ambitious retelling of the story. Unfortunately, the opening two chapters have been mostly disappointing.
There's still a chance it will end on a high note, of course, and a first look at Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three's cover art has now found its way online (via Toonado.com).
Recreating the iconic shot of Superman holding the downed Supergirl, we also see Mister Terrific, Batman, Lex Luthor, Hawkgirl, Hourman, Wonder Woman, and The Joker. Looming in the background is the massive Anti-Monitor.
While a Watchmen movie is still expected to be released later this year,...

First, there was “The Last of Us,” set decades into a pandemic caused by a mass fungal infection. “And Then There Was Fungi,” at least according to GloSketch, presenting its new factual documentary series during K-Contents showcase at MipTV.
“Scientists agree that fungi could cause the next pandemic and we are unprepared,” pointed out Song Daeil, explaining that the show was inspired by a novel written by Agatha Christie.
“However, this time, the criminal is not a person. It’s killer fungi!”
Over the course of four episodes, each 30 minutes-long, the makers will try to answer one pressing question: Have fungi suddenly turned against humanity? After all, no one is safe from it – not even your hot beverages.

In Patty Jenkins' bonkers superhero sequel "Wonder Woman 1984," a smarmy yuppie named Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) has discovered an ancient wishing stone that can grant him one wish, but only in exchange for something valuable to him. Maxwell, rather than making a wish, gets clever, wishing to absorb the powers of the stone, and become a wishing object himself. When someone touches him and makes a wish, he has the power to grant it, but can now make vocal demands in exchange. He essentially wishes for more wishes.
A mousy nerd named Barbara Minvera (Kristen Wiig), who works with Wonder Woman's secret identity Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), clearly has a crush on her, coveting Diana's assured demeanor. Barbara also has a chance to make a wish on the wishing stone and wishes to be more like Diana, not knowing that Diana is an immortal demigoddess with superpowers. Barbara's superpowers,...

Arguably the best Batman and Joker combo in history is getting back together one last time, and the reunion comes as a pretty sizable surprise. Mark Hamill will once again reprise his role as The Joker alongside the late Kevin Conroy's Batman. Conroy voiced the Caped Crusader for decades, from "Batman: The Animated Series" in the early '90s through Conroy's much-too-early death in 2022. We knew Conroy's voice would be used as Batman once again, and now it has been confirmed that Hamill will be reuniting with his former co-star in one of Conroy's final posthumous performances.
According to IGN, Hamill's Joker and Conroy's Batman are both set to appear in the upcoming "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths -- Part Three." The first part of the adaptation of the classic DC Comics storyline has already been released, with part two arriving in April. It's a big multiverse story,...

Mumbai, July 6 (Ians) The teaser of the upcoming film ‘Salaar’, which was unveiled on Thursday, promises another action saga with Prabhas leading the pack.
In a rather unusual move, the makers of the big-budget action film dropped the teaser at 5 a.m.
The teaser, which is under two minutes in length has everything from classic south Indian action, to whistle-worthy dialogues, a loud background score all of which point to the look and feel of ‘K.G.F.’.
‘Salaar’ being directed by Prashanth Neel, the ‘K.G.F.’ helmer, only cements the director’s style.
The teaser opens in an underground arena populated with gangsters armed to the teeth with guns as Tinnu Anand sitting on the car’s bonnet gets up and mouths the lines, “Simple English, no confusion. Tiger, Cheetah, Tiger, Elephant, very dangerous” with a gun pointed at him.
The teaser then plunges into a full-blown action saga with goons flying...

We've all heard about nepotism in casting, when the children of famous actors get roles just because of their parents' accomplishments, but what about pet nepotism? That's exactly what happened on Quentin Tarantino's biggest movie, "Django Unchained," though it worked out great for everyone involved. In an interview with Games Radar back in 2012, actor Jamie Foxx, who starred as Django, revealed that the main horse he rides in the film was his pet horse from real life. The casting came about because Foxx was practicing his horse-riding for the film with Cheetah, and the two were such a natural pair that it seemed only logical to put Cheetah in the movie.
Foxx got the horse for his birthday about four years before he was cast as Django and began filming, but he did tell Tarantino that he had his own horse pretty early on. The horse wasn't just some nameless pony,...

"Django Unchained", the eighth movie by Quentin Tarantino, wouldn't have been a hit with a different writer-director attached. By that point, Tarantino had become a trusted brand all to himself, and his name alone was enough to sell a film; like a movie about a freed enslaved person set in the 1850s. Sold as an homage to the Spaghetti Westerns of the 1960s and Sergio Corbucci's "Django," in particular, Tarantino himself didn't necessarily think "Django Unchained" fell into quite the same category as those films. "I don't know if 'Django' is a Western proper," he told the New York Times. "It's a Southern. I'm playing western stories in the genre, but with a southern backdrop."
Will Smith was famously in line to play the lead before eventually passing on the role because it wasn't enough of a star vehicle. Smith would have given a fine performance, but there's one problem.

When it comes to comedy, "Saturday Night Live" is one of the best gigs an actor can get. The show has produced some of the biggest stars in the business: Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and many more. But that list of comedy greats isn't complete without Kristin Wiig, who was a cast member on "SNL" from 2005 to 2012. Wiig's work on the show resulted in some of the most memorable sketches of the 21st century. Who could forget Gilly, the overly-excited Sue, or the beloved Target Lady?
While she was on the show, Wiig began dipping her toe into feature films, with small parts in comedies like "Knocked Up" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." Her biggest career moment came in 2011 with the release of "Bridesmaids," which she co-wrote and starred in alongside Maya Rudolph.
