If you’re a fan of Korean films, you’ve probably heard of filmmaker Im Sang-soo. He’s been selected to compete for the Palme d’Or twice by the Cannes Film Festival (and a third selection happened last year in the Covid-canceled fest). He’s the writer-director behind a number of high-profile features over the past 20 years. And apparently, he’s on the verge of making his Hollywood, English-language debut.

According to Yonhap News, Im Sang-soo is developing his Hollywood debut feature, “Soho Sins.” The film is said to be an adaptation of the novel of the same name by author Richard Vine about the murder of a woman who is part of a golden couple in the world of the art scene in New York City.
