Born December 25th 1988 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Steve Haining is a Guinness World Record Holding Photographer and internationally award winning film maker.
In the early 2000s Steve spent most of his time touring North America as a musician. During this time he always had his camera with him and began getting a reputation with record labels as a band photographer. This lead him to kick-start a career in Celebrity Portraits shooting for Much Music, MTV, UMG, Warner and more. From 2008-2015 Haining specialized in commercial and editorial portrait photography commonly for public figures (Actors & Musicians) as well as large brands.
In 2015 While still travelling the world as a commercial photographer he began making a shift into cinematography and taking on contracts as a Director Of Photography for TV commercials, corporate videos & music videos. The adaptation from still photography to motion happened extremely naturally allowing Haining to build an even bigger name for himself.
By 2018 Steve made yet another transformation moving from the Cinematography roll into film directing with Television Pilots and Commercials. In 2019 he achieved another creative milestone by taking on the roles of both Director and Director of Photography for feature documentary "The Long Ride Home" A series that has already won awards in festivals world wide for "Best Documentary" and Best Social Impact Film. Despite the lock downs in 2020 the Documentary had a sequel and both parts of the doc became a base for Indigenous Education in Canadian colleges and are still winning awards around the world.
In 2023 Haining is working between Toronto Canada and Orlando Florida on multiple projects as a Director, DOP, Editor and AD with his first Horror movie "Lianne" now on Amazon Prime. and is planning to beat another world record in the visual arts industry!
