"Go be a professional failure!!" BritFlicks has debtued the first teaser trailer for an indie dark comedy titled Me, Myself & The Void. It just premiered this weekend at the 2023 Dances With Films Festival, and is still seeking distribution. Trapped in a mysterious void outside the bounds of time and space, a struggling stand-up comedian must investigate how his body wound up motionless on his bathroom floor and wake himself up before it's too late. From this trailer, it looks like it's dealing with a near death experience of a guy who wakes up and sees himself dead and is caught in the limbo between life and death. In today’s film news roundup, Paramount has moved “What Men Want” back four weeks, a short film will be screened ahead of John Cho’s “Searching” and coming-of-age drama “Runt” rounds out its cast.

Paramount Pictures has moved back its Taraji P. Henson comedy “What Men Want” back a month from Jan. 11 to Feb. 8.
The move came a week after Lionsgate vacated the February date by moving its Seth Rogen-Charlize Theron comedy “Flarsky” to the summer season.
“What Men Want” is a remake of the Mel Gibson comedy “What Women Want.” Henson stars as sports agent who, after being passed up for a well-deserved promotion, gains the ability to hear men’s thoughts. The movie, directed by Adam Shankman, also stars Aldis Hodge and Tracy Morgan.
“What Women Want,” directed by Nancy Meyers, was a major hit for Paramount with $374 million in worldwide grosses.

Exclusive: Searching director Aneesh Chaganty has selected five burgeoning filmmakers who will get a chance to see their short films come to life on the big screen via his YouTube Space Director’s Lab.
Participants are Sarah Rotella and Adriana Dilonardo from Unsolicited Project, Tony E. Valenzuela from BlackBoxTV, Shae-Lee Shackleford from SketchShe, Tim Hautekiet from TimH Films, and Mikey Murphy from Mikey Murphy. Each original short, which can be viewed here, will also be screened ahead of a special showing of Searching this Thursday in Los Angeles and the winner will be announced by Chaganty. The winning short will play ahead of Searching in select theaters starting the next day.
