Malube's been active on Toronto stages since 2005 and film since 2011;
with a variation of classical, contemporary, collective creations,
directing and producing under her belt. Born in Central Montreal and
with the habit of moving around a lot throughout her childhood, Malube
learned to adapt to new environments quickly which helps inform her
acting as well as her writing.
From Queen Dido to an death struck slave in the 1700s to a fearsome
club owner, diversity in roles is one thing that Malube is not afraid
of. On the contrary, it is the essence of these characters that makes
the work valuable. In Early 2011, Malube performed in 'The Grace
Project:SICK' where she was brave enough to reenact her Elementary
school days where she was bullied and abused verbally and violently. A
secret she was able to share after 12 years garnered her and the
ensemble 2 DORA nominations for Outstanding Production and Outstanding
Ensemble in Theatre for Young Audiences.
In 2012 alone, Malube has worked on 6 films, all to be featured in Film
Festivals in the year 2013 and onwards.
