If “The Voice” had a Mount Rushmore of coaches, three of the faces carved into its granite would no doubt be Niall Horan, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. Why? Because as of the Season 24 finale on December 19, they are the only coaches to have won two seasons in a row. That’s quite an impressive feat, especially considering the immense amount of talent that has graced the NBC reality TV show since its debut in 2011. See the updated “The Voice” winners list.
Niall joined the esteemed list on Tuesday night when Huntley, his 33-year-old artist from Fredericksburg, Virginia, won Season 24 over runner-up Ruby Leigh of Team Reba McEntire. That gave Niall back-to-back victories because he also prevailed in Season 23 with Illinois pop singer Gina Miles, who bested runner-up Grace West of Team Blake. Since Niall isn’t returning in the spring for Season 25, that means he will remain undefeated for the time being.

And he’ll be joined by Earth, Wind & Fire, Keith Urban, Ajr, Jelly Roll and Tyla, plus upcoming Season 25 coaches Dan + Shay.

Season 23 will mark the end of an era for “The Voice.” Blake Shelton, the only coach to participate in every cycle since the reality TV competition began in 2011, will say goodbye. Blake and “The Voice” have been a mainstay of NBC’s spring schedule, typically kicking off in February or March and running through May. That wasn’t the case for 2022. For the first time in the show’s history, “The Voice” skipped the spring season, airing only last fall. but it’s back this year in its regular time slot.

Things are getting rather emotional on “The Voice” this season, as original coach Blake Shelton is gearing up for his final run. After sitting out last year, Kelly Clarkson has returned to the judging panel in Season 23 to send off Blake in proper style, and they’re joined by new coaches Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper. “Blake is killin’ it his last season,” Kelly stated at the end of the fourth episode. “I suspected that would happen. Don’t tell him I said this, but he’s the king of ‘The Voice.’ So it’s gonna be really weird that he’s not here. He will be missed by everyone.”
As of this writing, Blake has one of the strongest rosters of this Spring 2023 cycle, thanks in part to his being able to pitch to aspiring singers that they could be a part of his historic last team as he’s leaving “The Voice.

Because he’s won “The Voice” eight times, Blake Shelton has a lot of different feathers in his cap. Among them is his ability to nurture the budding talents of teenage artists. One of the founding coaches for The Voice, Blake Shelton, has announced his decision to leave the hit competition show following its next season after being on every season of the show since its inception.
Eight up-and-coming musicians have won The Voice with Shelton as a coach. Most recently, Cam Anthony was the winner of the 20th season of the show after being coached by Shelton.
The reasoning he gave for this decision seemed to be primarily workload.

He also thanked the talent that he coached, and fans of The Voice for giving him a job for so many years.

In “The Voice” Season 21 finale, Kelly Clarkson won her fourth career trophy thanks to the history-making trio known as Girl Named Tom. (Read our minute-by-minute recap.) The sibling band from Pettisville, Ohio is comprised of Caleb Liechty (26), Joshua Liechty (24) and Bekah Liechty (20) and will now forever be known as the first-ever group to win “The Voice.” It was a fitting end for Girl Named Tom, as they were the very first blind audition shown to audiences back in September, where they earned a four-chair turn.
Kelly’s previous three winners were Brynn Cartelli (Season 14), Chevel Shepherd (Season 15) and Jake Hoot (Season 17). At four total victories, Kelly has now broken her tie with former coach Adam Levine, who prevailed thrice with Javier Colon (Season 1), Tessanne Chin (Season 5) and Jordan Smith (Season 9).

Is the years-long “The Voice” instant save curse about to be broken? If John Legend‘s gospel singer Jershika Maple ends up winning Season 21 during the December 14 finale, she’ll make history as the first artist to prevail who was previously saved by social media users. Since the creation of the instant save twist in Season 6, none of its recipients have ever gone on to win “The Voice.” Britton Buchanan (Season 14) and Toneisha Harris (Season 18) came closest by each placing second behind their winners, but all of the other times the saved artist finished near the bottom of their respective finales.

One of the front-runners to win “The Voice,” Wendy Moten of Team Blake Shelton, opened up Top 11 week with a bang on Monday night’s episode. As it was Fan Week, the viewers got to choose songs for each of the finalists and they picked Aretha Franklin‘s “Freeway of Love” for Wendy. This 55-year-old soul singer from Memphis, Tennessee absolutely dominated her version of the song, earning standing ovations from coaches Blake and John Legend. Watch Wendy’s “The Voice” performance above.

The battle round of Season 21 of “The Voice” came to a close on October 19 leaving coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Ariana Grande with eight artists remaining on their teams. Throughout this round each coach was allowed one steal and one save. The eight members of each team now consist of six artists who won their battles, one losing artist each coach stole from another team and one losing artist the coach saved from their own team.
The most memorable battle of the season pitted two soul singers against each other, singing a pop/rock song and representing their country coach. When Wendy Moten and Manny Keith took the stage for Team Blake performing “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You” by Sting it was almost a foregone conclusion that Wendy would wipe the floor with the performer 25 years her junior. The blind auditions of the 21st season of “The Voice” came to a close last week with a whopping seven four-chair turns from coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and first timer Ariana Grande. Kelly was queen of the dais, nabbing four of those artists, while Blake claimed two, John one and Ariana couldn’t bring any to her team.
The first artist to perform for the judges this season was Girl Named Tom, a trio of siblings that wowed the coaches with their harmonizing on “Helplessly Hoping.” At the time we didn’t know that season 21’s blinds would be dominated by groups (a total of five made the show), and yet somehow Girl Named Tom remained the strongest of the bunch and one of the best auditions overall.

As The Voice’s Season 21 Blind Auditions continued Tuesday, with new coach on the block Ariana Grande learning just how discomfiting it can be to get caught up in Blake Shelton’s shenanigans with John Legend and Kelly Clarkson, we were introduced to a pop-rocker who rasped “like a frying egg,” a Season 19 wannabe making a triumphant comeback and an R&b singer with (per John) the “audacity” to cover Ari in front of Ari. But did any of them sound like they had what it takes to follow Cam Anthony into the winner’s circle? Read on, and we’ll evaluate.

“Never!” is the quick response Emmy winner Carson Daly has when asked if he predicted his hosting gig on “The Voice” would last for 20 seasons. “It was quite the opposite. People thought we were crazy. If you recall the landscape in television at that time, ‘American Idol,’ by all accounts, was kind of rounding third heading for home after their monumental success. Yet there still seemed to be an appetite for singing competitions because ‘X-Factor’ was coming over from Europe. When we got this format from Holland, we had a very small window of time to get it on NBC before ‘X-Factor.’ We never thought we’d last, we barely thought we would survive.” Watch the exclusive video interview with Daly above.

During Tuesday’s finale of “The Voice” Season 20, fans everywhere celebrated the return of one of the reality TV show’s original coaches, Adam Levine. The former occupant of the big red chair reunited with old “frenemy” Blake Shelton at the start of the episode. As you’ll recall, Levine was a coach on the reality TV program between Season 1 and Season 16, leaving unexpectedly after that and being replaced last-minute by Shelton’s girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
“I was just texting to say I can’t wait to see you,” a giddy Blake told a pink-haired Adam in the pre-taped video package. After they took a selfie together, Adam got annoyed by how excited Blake was to see him. When Adam walked toward the entrance of the building, Blake told him, “I’m texting you that you’re wearing two shirts right now. Did you get the text? Did you get it?...

The five Season 20 finalists were Cam Anthony and Jordan Matthew Young from Team Blake, Kenzie Wheeler from Team Kelly, Victor Solomon from Team Legend and Rachel Mac from Team Nick.

Victor and his three siblings were raised by a single mom. He remembers times when they went without electricity and water, but they were a tight-knit family and always got through the difficult times together.
