In 2022, Vinland Saga’s creator Makoto Yukimura did a joint interview with Attack on Titan’s mangaka Hajime Isayama, where they discussed each other’s works. While talking about Vinland Saga and Attack on Titan, Isayama made a big revelation when he talked about his favorite character from Yukimura’s magnum opus.
Still from the end of Season 1 of Vinland Saga
During the interview, Isayama revealed that his favorite character from Vinland Saga was Thorfinn, who is the protagonist of the series. Thorfinn, when introduced, was a small kid who always dreamed of going on an adventure, and when he was able to fulfill this dream, his life took an unexpected and dark turn. The series is based around Thorfinn’s struggle.

The Dangers in My Heart has returned for winter 2024, and with it comes a new character: Anna Yamada's soft-spoken dad. The reticent patriarch is voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya (Reiner Braun in Attack on Titan ). Related: The Dangers in My Heart Reveals Premiere Dates for Season 2, Spin-Off Anime Hosoya acknowledged, with good humor, how notoriously quiet his character is. "There would be times in the studio," he said, "when I'd feel like, 'I'm sorry about today, too.'" Based on the manga by Norio Sakurai, The Dangers in My Heart is directed by Hiroaki Akagi at studio Shin-Ei Animation, with series composition by Jukki Hanada ( Bloom Into You ), character designs by Masato Katsumata ( The Quintessential Quintuplets 2 ) and music by Kensuke Ushio. Anime Expo in Los Angeles saw the unveiling of the new trailer for Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters Special 2. The trailer was premiered during the Mappa x Crunchyroll! panel.
The complete film will be available later this fall, exact date to be announced.
Based on the award-winning manga Attack on Titan by Haime Isayama, the film continues the story of humanity forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that lurked outside. Only the heroic members of the Scout Regiment dared to stray behind the safety of the walls –but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive.
In the final segment, the fate of the world hangs in the balance as Eren unleashes the ultimate power of the Titans. With a burning determination to eliminate all who threaten Eldia, he leads an army of Colossal Titans towards Marley.

Spoilers for "Attack on Titan" follow.
If you watch anime dubs, you'll notice a lot of the same voices coming out of different characters' mouths across many different series. That's because many series are dubbed by the same studios, which employ the same stable of actors. One of the biggest dubbing studios is Funimation. Founded in 1994 by since-retired Gen Fukunaga and based in the Dallas, Texas metro area, the studio rose to fame by dubbing "Dragon Ball Z." The company has since been merged with and rebranded as Crunchyroll, but the talent remains largely the same.
Some voice actors you might hear over and over in Funimation/Crunchyroll dubs include Chris Sabat, Colleen Clinkenbeard, and Mike McFarland. The latter is a particularly important lynchpin of the studio since he's not just a voice actor, but also an Adr director, writer, and line producer.

This post contains spoilers for "Attack on Titan."
The "Attack on Titan" manga ended in 2021, and the final season of the anime is imminent as well. Along this 14+ year journey, the series has given us plenty of memorable characters. There's the main trio: the hotheaded Eren Yeager, the weak-willed but clever Armin Arlert, and the cool Mikasa Ackerman. One of the series' best-developed characters is Reiner Braun, the Armored Titan. Despite his hardy exterior, Reiner is torn apart inside and has gone from hero to villain and back again. The series' consistently most popular character is Levi Ackerman (who we could get an "Attack on Titan" spin-off centered on), the bad-tempered Captain who, despite his small size, is humanity's strongest soldier.
However, my favorite character is one of Levi's best friends, and his polar opposite, Zoë Hange. Part of the Survey Corps, Hange is a scientist who wants to...

Many TV shows become different as they go on. New characters are introduced, others depart, and status quos are torn down. What's rarer is that a show uproots its whole premise. And yet, that's what "Attack on Titan" does.
A bombshell twist at the end of season 3 reveals the show's setting is only a drop in the bucket of a much larger, much different world. Season 4, adapting chapters 91 to 139 of Hajime Isayama's original manga, explores that world. Along the way, the story changes from a purely black-and-white conflict about people slaying monsters into a man-versus-man story. Whereas before the heroes were fighting for survival, the conflicts of season 4 were more abstract, rooted in prejudice spanning generations and the resultant cycle of revenge.
As the "Attack on Titan" final season approaches its end, it's time to ask: was this change for better or worse?...

With its sense of kinetic animation, stylized choreography, and tendency to heighten spectacle for the sake of emotional stakes and scope, the anime medium has some of the best-rendered fight sequences in animation or live-action. Considering the ever-present reminder that anime is a medium, not a genre as occasionally misattributed, the fights can be as sci-fi as a multiversal martial arts tournament to a serene duel between samurai. With that in mind, here are the 14 best anime fights of all time, from the early days of concerted fight staging with the original '80s "Dragon Ball" to memorable scuffles from contemporary anime series.
Across such an exhaustive medium, many of the fights included in this article could stand as anime's very best but we've narrowed it down to singular, standout battles within different series and movies. Whether serving as the explosive punctuation to longstanding rivalries and character arcs or incorporating unique tactics and techniques,...

This Attack on Titan review contains spoilers.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 17
“We just have to keep moving forward, right Eren?”
One of the first images from “Judgment,” the premiere entry from Attack on Titan: Final Season, Part 2, is a naked and bewildered Zeke who emerges from the husk of a Titan’s corpse, as if he’s been reborn anew. Attack on Titan has always been interested in how death is necessary for rebirth, but it’s become a suffocating mantra during the series’ final season.
More casualties have been experienced than ever before as characters become increasingly willing to write off huge swathes of humanity for some nebulous “greater good” that might not actually be appreciated until generations later, if at all. The body count in Attack on Titan only continues to rise, and the chilling new opening title sequence pointedly prepares the audience for unprecedented destruction. However,...
