Christmas came early on The Voice, with multiple holiday-themed performances happening three weeks ahead of Santa's schedule and Adam Levine and Blake Shelton receiving the gift of intact teams. In fact, both coaches pulled off near-impossible feats, with Blake's last-man-standing Cole Vosbury and all three of Adam's contestants earning spots in the semi-finals, virtually ensuring that one of them will win the Season Five trophy. (Team Adam, cough cough. Duh.)

With Thanksgiving a newly distant memory, NBC dusted off the holiday set list for its elimination episode of The Voice on Tuesday. Kelly Clarkson performed "Underneath the Tree" off her new Christmas album, Blake Shelton reunited with his season one contestant Xenia to sing "Silver Bells," and the top 6 joined together (along with a particularly overpowering Starbucks Chorus) for "O Holy Night." The remaining singers also split up to perform Florence and the Machine's "You've Got the Love" and a very well done "More Than Words" with Extreme's Nuno Bettencourt. Inaugural “American Idol” champ Kelly Clarkson is returning to perform on NBC’s “The Voice” on next Tuesday’s Top 6 elimination episode airing at 9/8c. The Knockout Rounds have, by far, been the most exciting portion of The Voice this season. Since this is a new feature of the show, I don't have any experiences from my season to compare. However, I did notice some very uncomfortable situations for the contestants: having to sit onstage as their opponents slaughtered them vocally (I saw a few contestants shoot daggers. If looks could kill…).
And to make matters worse, the contestants that are waiting in the wings for their moment of glory are forced to watch the massacre on a flat screen backstage (I would've been sweating like a fourteen year old boy and simultaneously throwing up my lunch on their very polished floors). I also realized that a few songs are Very popular on The Voice and witnessed certain contestants have some pretty magical moments. I compiled my musings…

This week marked the first live performances on the second season of "The Voice" and that also means the first eliminations. On Tuesday night, "The Voice" said goodbye to four contestants -- two from Team Blake and two from Team Christina.
America saved three contestants from both Blake Shelton's and Christina Aguilera's teams. Then, the bottom three on each team had the opportunity to sing one last time for their coaches to prove that they should be the one their coach would save from elimination. (For those familiar with "RuPaul's Drag Race," it was basically like lip-syncing for your life, but with actual singing.)
On Team Blake, America saved belter Erin Willett, Alicia Keys' former back-up singer Jermaine Paul and teen country crooner RaeLynn. Jersey girl Charlotte Sometimes, reggae singer Naia Kete and early fan favorite Jordis Unga were left to sing again. Host Carson Daly noted...

It’s been quite a season, Voice fans, and after almost two months of blind auditions and battle rounds, we’ve finally got a live show! Last night marked the end of the battles (read Carson Daly’s blog on the episode here), and as the dust finally settled and the chairs stopped spinning, each of the four teams – led by coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton — are now filled with some truly talented artists, and America is ready to share the love with its votes.

The coaches completed their teams of twelve last night in the battle round of The Voice Season Two and what a completion it was. One vocalist was lucky enough sing a brief duet with her coach! Viewers were hoping for the unexpected this season and they got it early on. The last remaining coach to round out their team was very happy indeed while finding her last team member. Sera Hill is very talented… but she also sang one of Christina’s favorite jams, “I’m Going Down” and it put her in one extremely rare moment. When Christina Aguilera grabbed the mic and sang with Hill, everyone was taken aback. People pay big money to see Aguilera sing, but sometimes when you want to get down with the music, you just want to get down. Thank you Christina for letting us see you letting your hair down. It was quite a moment.

The Voice contestant Erin Martin has said she always wanted to be part of Cee Lo Green's team since the moment she began watching the show. Martin won over coaches Cee Lo and Blake Shelton with her blind audition performance of 'Hey Delilah' on Monday night (February 13), and chose to join Team Cee Lo. Speaking to reporters on a conference call, she said: "From the moment that I started watching the show before auditioning I'd always say if I was ever on the show, I would totally be on Team Cee Lo. "It just so happened he and Blake turned around. I love Blake and think he's a fantastic human being and hilarious, and I'd love to be on his team, but he had Xenia and Dia last year, who have freaky and unique voices. He did really well with those girls, I just didn't want to be stuck...

It was a good night for Adam Levine on The Voice. Not only did the Maroon 5er gather four new team members, and remind us all that he won last year's competition yet again, but he proved that he is easily the best at stating his case to the contestants.
Levine uses rational, eloquent and convincing arguments to persuade youngsters - with all celebrity coaches staring them in the face - to join Team Adam. Blake's witty insults, Christina's embarrassing attempts to match and Cee Lo's "take me or leave me" attitude have yet to contend with Levine's abilities as a "salesman."
Let's take a look at the performances from the third installment of the Blind Auditions by breaking down The Voice Teams...

One’s a cocky cowboy, one’s got swagger like Jagger, one likes to dress up almost as much as he likes to hit on female contestants, and one likes to dress up almost as much as she likes to hit on male contestants. It’s a race as tight as Christina’s dresses, but we have to ask: Who is your favorite mentor on The Voice?
It’s a different question than: Which mentor would you pick if you were a contestant? Instead, we’re asking, as a TV viewer, which mentor is the most fun to watch on...

We're back for the second installment of "The Voice's" blind auditions. It's the first two-hour episode of Season 2 so if there wasn't enough of Christina's boobs, Adam boastfulness, or Cee Lo's studded attire last night, you are indeed in luck.
My sister, who will be recapping with me from this point forward, is looking for more of two things in particular: 1. Blake and 2. Cee Lo's kitty, who we've recently learned is named Purrrfect.
The show opens with Carson Daly's increasingly skinny head only introducing the judges and their Prince medley.
Chelsey: "Adam Levine's in a tank top and Cee Lo's in sequins, so all is right in the world."
Jaimie: "He's like Bedazzle-Me Elmo"
Chelsey: "Whenever Cee Lo doesn't wear sunglasses, I remember why Cee Lo wears sunglasses."
Cee Lo's fittingly sunglasses-inducing ensemble aside, Blake stars off shaky, which we can only attribute to his denim-on-denim ensemble.

Season One of The Voice was a huge hit for NBC, which is partly because of its mentors, recording artists Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee-lo Green. The other part: The contestants are initially chosen based on their voice alone — not by the "complete package" as other reality singing competitions seem to look for.
At a panel for Season Two of the show, the judges took the stage to answer critics' questions, and sole female judge Christina Aguilera had some great things to say about being a woman in the music industry, and how she's constantly judged based on her body vs. her body of work. Someone asked about the marketability of someone like out lesbian finalist Beverly McClellan, Christina's mentee.
"What you brought up is actually the sole factor of why I signed up and said yes to doing the show in the first place," Aguilera said.

Blake Shelton has revealed how he plans to pick his singers for his team on the new season of The Voice. The country star mentored runner-up Dia Frampton on the first season of the singing competition show. He shared to AOL Music: "I am picking polarising voices. That really worked out well for me last time around. There were a lot of great singers on that show, but there was only one Dia and one Xenia. They are so different from any other voices you ever hear. That's what the show means to me. "I think to Christina, it probably means someone (more)...

Nashville, Tenn. — Like the rest of us, celebrities are thinking about their goals for next year.
Taylor Swift is looking to change things up.
"I think my goal for the next couple of years would be to make departures in little ways and do things a little differently," said the Grammy-winning singer, "and try to maintain a balance between always providing your fans with what they've always liked from you and continuing to write all my own songs, but I'd love to make collaborations in different directions that aren't exactly expected."
The three members of country group Lady Antebellum are resolving to find balance in their personal and professional lives. It will be more of a challenge than ever with their first headlining tour resuming in January and two weddings to plan. Dave Haywood proposed to girlfriend Kelli Cashiola, 29, by hanging Christmas lights on her house that spelled out "Will You Marry Me?...
