Los Angeles based music producer & composer, Bruce Driscoll, is primarily known for his work as one half of two successful duos.
The cheekily named, folk and indie pop group, Freedom Fry. Formed with his Parisian wife, Marie Seyrat, their work together has seen over 150 million streams and been placed in shows from Apple, Amazon, HBO Max, Netflix, and others. Their partnership with Universal Music with the single, "Shaky Ground," was named best indie pop of 2016 by Spotify. The track "Awake" from their debut album, Classic, was named best indie pop of 2018 by Spotify.
And the synth-laden indie rock band, Blondfire. A group he founded with his sister, Erica Driscoll. Together, they collaborated with the late Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, on his critically-acclaimed, multi-platinum album, True. They also partnered with EMI and later Warner Bros Records on the strength of their singles, "Waves" and "Where The Kids Are."
A life-long lover of film & tv music, Bruce is adept at creating a sound that suits any image or genre. His scores and songs have appeared in over fifty projects, alongside some of the biggest names around. The Freedom Fry song, "Le Point Zéro," was featured in the hit Blumhouse film, M3GAN. The song "Shaky Ground" was the trailer music for the Anne Hathaway film, Locked Down. And Freedom Fry's cover of Gorillaz, "Clint Eastwood," was used in the finale of season one of The Morning Show on Apple TV+.
In the fashion world - Abercrombie, Madewell, Lanvin, Glamour Magazine, and others have used his music. In 2022, Freedom Fry's French translation of Harry Nilsson's "Everybody's Talkin'" was a standout track at Ralph Lauren's first west coast runway show, California Dreaming.
Bruce has also created the music for major campaigns from Airbnb, Honda, Ikea, Intuit, JCPenney, REI, United Airlines, Xfinity and more.
In 2022, he scored and co-wrote original songs for Apple TV+'s BAFTA Award-winning Lovely Little Farm and wrote additional cues for Netflix's That '90s Show with principal composer, James Iha, including performing on the title theme.
