- James Griffin was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago. His interest in acting started in high school at Notre Dame Highs School for Boys. Originally cast as John Hancock in 1776, his need for getting attention (and being a goofball) was not appreciated by the director and was asked to leave. Fast forward 10 years and James enrolled in Beginners Improv at Second City and was able to secure a seat in the Second City Conservatory program. He was bit by the performing bug and started to appear in many area community theatre plays and student and independent films. James enjoys performing and making people laugh, like his wife and 4 sons now. His acting gigs are fewer and farther between now but he is always on the lookout for the next opportunity to perform.- IMDb Mini Biography By: James Griffin
