Gabriel Motta, is a filmmaker from Porto Alegre, Brazil. His documentary short-film "Pastrana" (2023), co-directed with Melissa Brogni, has garnered recognition, including Best Short Film at the 56th Brasília Film Festival and Best Latin American Short Film at the 25th BAFICI (2024). It has also earned a place in the Official Selection of the Tribeca Festival (2024).
Previously, Motta's horror short-film "The Embrace" (2022) was well-received at various genre film festivals, such as Strasbourg Int' Fantastic Film Festival, 43rd Terror Molins and 19th Fantaspoa. His earlier work, "Two Men by the Sea" (2020), enjoyed screenings at events like San Francisco Frameline, NewFest New York LGBTQ+ Film Festival and Festival MixBrasil.
In addition to his film endeavors, Gabriel Motta directed the TV Mini-series "Via Pública" (2021), available on a Brazilian cable TV channel.
