Kurt Russell is the preeminent example of gruff, masculine swagger, injecting his performances with a vigorous presence no matter the role. Considering all of his muscly, mustachioed charms, it's a wonder that he hasn't been in more Westerns. That could be simply because films about the frontier aren't quite as common now as they used to be, but the actor takes his choice of roles in the genre seriously. Both "Tombstone" and 2015's "Bone Tomahawk" appealed to Russell, not because of their brutal action, but because of their dialogue, both refreshing to him in their own unique ways.
To be fair, Westerns have inspired Russell's roles, even if the films themselves weren't strictly in the Western genre. There's no mistaking that Snake Plissken in "Escape from New York" is at least partly an impression of Clint Eastwood's The Man with No Name, and Russell's role as Jack Burton in...

John Carpenter, the writer/director behind classic comedy adventure "Big Trouble In Little China" (1986), starring Kurt Russell as 'Jack Burton', isn't too keen about the long-delayed sequel to his film, after being left out of the creative process. "They want a movie with Dwayne Johnson," said Carpenter. "that's what they want. So they just picked that title...":
"You can't remake a classic like that, so what we're planning to do is we're going to continue the story," said sequel producer Hiram Garcia.
"We're going to continue the universe of 'Big Trouble in Little China'.
"Everything that happened in the original exists and is standalone and I think there's only one person that could ever play Jack Burton...
"...so Dwayne would never try and play that character..."
Although he has been sidelined from the upcoming production, Carpenter continues to script new adventures of his "Big Trouble" creations,...

Marvel sure took their sweet time, but we finally have a Thor: Love and Thunder teaser trailer. It was absolutely worth the wait. Taika Waititi’s long awaited sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (the movie which landed at #1 on our comprehensive ranking of the MCU movies) is a brightly-colored blast of good vibes, Marvel Comics Easter eggs and references, and callbacks to Thor’s earlier adventures.
There’s plenty of humor, even more cosmic scope, and barely a hint of the terrifying villain waiting in the wings for our heroes. Clocking in at just 89 seconds, there’s still plenty to unpack, both for fans of the comics and Marvel Studios.
Watch the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer here if you haven’t already, then we’ll get to work breaking this down…
Now, let’s break this down. We’re not necessarily going in order through the trailer, but instead we...
