Forget lame suitors like Lucas, it is millennials who are truly failing “Bachelorette” Rachel Lindsay. In the 18-34 demographic’s TV ratings, “The Bachelorette” is down 24 percent year over year, with a 1.9 versus last summer’s 2.5. Among men of that age range, the decline is an even 25 percent, with women clocking in at minus 22 percent. That means those born between 1983 and 1999 are departing the ABC series more than any other age range, right as we finally got our first African-American “Bachelorette.” So much for our most progressive generation. Eric was the latest Bachelorette contestant to be called out for "not being there for the right reasons." DeMario being the latest Bachelorette contestant to go on the show with a girlfriend is the biggest headline to come out of the second episode of season 13 so far, but it's not the only drama that Rachel (and viewers) have had to confront. The bickering that started between Blake and Lucas in The Bachelorette premiere boiled into outright arguments (and tattling) during the first group date. Both Lucas and Blake want to see the other eliminated first but the truth is that both guys need to go as soon as possible.

Whether you measure your movies by box office, reviews, or popular appeal, Sony’s $125 million remake of the 1990 Ah-nuld Schwarzenegger interplanetary action fest Total Recall looks like a strike-out. The movie opened with a lethal softness; a $25.7 million first weekend meaning Recall won’t even come close to making back its budget during its domestic theatrical run. In fact, despite 22 years of ticket price increases, it’s doubtful the movie will even match the original’s $119.3 million haul.

We don’t know all you Bachelorette fans are feeling out there, but we're not quite sure Ashley Hebert is going to pick any of the remaining guys this season after being heart broken by Bentley Williams. And we were definitely not surprised when she sent Lucas Daniels home this week after what seemed like a slow ride to nowhere on there dating journey. The visible lack of chemistry was apparent to pretty much everyone except the bachelor himself. The southern boy from Odessa, Texas was taken by surprise at last week's rose ceremony. Here are ten things Lucas had to say about his experience in a recent conference call interview.
On Being Surprised at the Rose Ceremony
"I felt very confident going into that. I was already prepared to take her home and I was prepared to say, “Hey mom and dad, here’s Ashley.

The travel we've been fortunate enough to experience along this journey on The Bachelorette has been incredible. I've loved learning about new cultures, seeing locations I've only seen in books or magazines, and getting to fall in love in some of the most romantic locations in the world. And one of the best things about traveling is the feeling you get when it's time to go home. Even though we weren't heading to see my family, knowing I was about to meet the families of the guys I had grown so close to was incredibly exciting. While traveling back to the States,...

For Lucas Daniels, the age-old adage "opposites attract" couldn't save him from a rose-less night on last week's episode of The Bachelorette. "I began to see just how different we were and how there was very little room for change," Ashley wrote on her People.com blog about her decision to eliminate Lucas. One thing they are on the same page about: the Bentley drama. The Odessa, Texas, native spoke to reporters on a conference call Wednesday. Did your elimination come as a surprise? I was already prepared to take her home and, you know, I was prepared to say,...

Chris reveals that Ashley sent Ryan and Lucas home because she just wasn’t attracted to them!
Bachelorette Ashley Hebert‘s finally getting down to business with her remaining men. During the July 11 episode, Ashley said goodbye to Ryan Park — who at the beginning of the season seemed to be a front-runner after Ashley gave him the first impression rose. But host Chris Harrison says in his personal Entertainment Weekly blog that he thinks Ashley finally realized she didn’t have feelings for Ryan and sent him packing because it’s time to get serious about finding her hubby!
“Ashley explained herself excellently by letting him know at this point if she doesn’t feel it, why lead him on any further and then drag his family into it?,” Chris writes. “Despite the honest intentions it still hurt her and Ryan. [But] after that date I could tell Ashley was done playing games.

Sometimes, opposites attract. And other times, as seems to have happened between Lucas Daniels, the 30-year-old oilfield equipment distributor from Odessa, Texas, and Ashley Hebert, the 26-year-old dental student Bachelorette, opposites enjoy each other enough to hang out for a while before eventually admitting that they aren't that attracted after all.
But Lucas, who made his mark as the guy who proclaimed, "She's wasting my f***ing time!" when Ashley revealed she was still hung up on a certain He Who Shall Not Be Named, had nothing bad to say about Ashley, his time on The Bachelorette or the guys who made it into Ashley's final four. Even a true Southern gentleman can blow his lid under pressure, especially when he feels like he's been forced to play second (or more like fourth) fiddle to a jerk.

In love, sometimes you have to listen to the universe. On Monday night’s edition of The Bachelorette, a stray dog urinated on hapless Ashley’s “wish lantern” (although the crafty editing team saved the footage for the closing credits), while the matchmaking gods said “no me gusta” to her pairing with Ryan via a traditional game of tile-throwing. At this rate, if any of the remaining suitors makes it to the finale and gets down on bended knee, I’m fully expecting a rift in the earth to open up, swallow the guy whole, and burp up a recommendation...

The Bachelorette spent the night with contestant Ben Flajnik — while she was dating five other guys! Is this wrong or acceptable?
Ashley Hebert is down to six guys on The Bachelorette and although she’s trying to find true love, it seems like she’s actually just getting a whole lot of lovin’ (a.k.a. sex) from many of the men. Is it Ok if you’re dating around to get frisky with all of the men you’re seeing or is Ashley completely in the wrong?
On the July 11 episode of the hit reality show, the 26-year-old dental student travels to Taiwan with the six remaining contestants. But Ash simply can’t control her sexual urges, and not only has a sleepover with Ben Flajnik (although they didn’t sleep in the same room), but makes out with Ames Brown and Lucas Daniels on her group date; she also kisses Constantine Tzortzis.

The guys on " The Bachelorette " were subjected to one of the crazier dates ever on the show last night: Faux wedding portraits! Ashley Hebert -- who already had a fake wedding ceremony with one potential suitor earlier this season -- took three of her final men to dress up and get their wedding photos taken with her in Taipei. "One of these guys could be my husband some day," Ashley told the camera, "so this could show me what it would be like to get married to each of them." In the end, Lucas was sent home -- leaving Ames , Jp , Constantine and Ben in the running to someday take those fake wedding photos for real. Read more...

The hardest thing for me about writing these blogs is deciding where to start. This week I have been debating, do I talk about Emily’s interview first or the episode itself with Ashley? I decided I’d give you a few thoughts about Emily at the end of the blog. Our final big stop on this crazy travel leg of this journey across Asia is Taipei, Taiwan. The week before hometowns is a bit awkward, and always a tough one every season. Most of Ashley’s relationships have moved forward to the point where they are ready to be exclusive,...

Getting closer to pick "the one" for her, Ashley Hebert seemingly had no difficulty in cutting the remaining six suitors to four in Monday, July 11 episode of "The Bachelorette". The 26-year-old sent home one man right after their date, and another one during a rose ceremony without getting through a cocktail party to get to know them more.
In the episode, Constantine, Ben and Ryan got one-on-one date while the other three were on a group date. Ashley and Constantine joined a lantern festival in a small village for their date. They shared a kiss when witnessing hundreds of lanterns, including theirs, floated into the sky.
Ashley and Ben's date was to explore a park on a moped. During dinner, Ben said his feeling has grown to be more than just liking her. They spent the night making out and Ben did not return home until next morning.

The Bachelorette: Ashley's Not the Only One Crying as She Edges Closer to Possibly Disastrous Finale
Thanks to way too many preview clips, we know that a cad named Bentley was only the first of a series of obstacles blocking Ashley Hebert's road to love on The Bachelorette. Heading into Monday's episode, six suitors remained, none of them an obvious choice to be on bended knee when this season comes to a close. But four of them brought Ashley to their hometowns to meet their families, based on tonight's three one-on-one dates and one group outing. Actually, make that Ryan and Constantine's one-on-ones, Ben's overnight, and J.P., Lucas and Ames being forced to take wedding photos on their group date... "Mr. 24 hours!" Lucas, who seemed ready to go home after...

Trouble in paradise — Ashley breaks rumored winner J.P.’s heart! ‘It’s been rough to watch her and Lucas kiss at the photo shoot — awful,’ he fesses!

... Just like every wedding, amirite?
Just kidding. Weddings are supposed to be full of beauty, love and togetherness -- unless those weddings are not real, and are happening on The Bachelorette, on a group date, thus making them super-double-fake and super-triple-uncomfortable. Just the way we like 'em!
Below, check out a sneak peek of next Monday's one-on-three date between Ashley, Ames, Jp and Lucas. Now in Taiwan, Ashley "decides" to take her trio of suitors to Taipei's "world famous photography district" to dress up in traditional wedding attire and take "customary Taiwanese wedding photos" with her. (Note: Unless "dating" is supposed to be presumptuous, tacky, non-fun, cruel and terrible, That Is Not A Date!)
Obviously the entire "date" is a set-up to freak out the men about commitment, monogamy, eternity, ugly outfits and watching each other kiss the girl. And obviously it works. Watch Ames, Jp (who gets off easy...

Lucas was hurt by Ashley falling for Bentley — but now he praises her for telling the guys the truth: ‘It was so brave sitting down with a bunch of guys and letting us know that!’

On The Bachelorette, the standard-operating “happy ending” occurs when our heroine with princess issues brutally rejects one potential fiance, reapplies her foundation over dried rivulets of tears, then says “yes” to a marriage proposal from her other potential fiance. It’s clean and simple and debatably satisfying — at least until the cameras stop rolling.
But in the latest installment of the long-running ABC dating franchise, I’m convinced that Ashley is going to ask the final two dudes to perform a good old-fashioned duel at 20 paces. “How will I know a guy loves me if he’s not willing to die for me?...

This episode had a lot of highs and many lows for Ashley. You’ve all had very strong opinions about Bentley this season, both good and bad. I want to deal with all this episode had to offer, but first I want to give you some updates on things we have coming up in the very near future for you. First of all, we have wrapped the first part of production on Bachelor Pad 2. It is incredible and will far surpass anything we came close to producing last summer. From start to finish this show will entertain like never before.
