Dana Yurcisin
- Cinematographer
- Camera and Electrical Department
- Editor
Yurcisin began his filmmaking career with skateboarding. He is a
self-taught editor and used skateboarding footage of friends to hone
his skills. He entered Rowan University in the fall of 2007 with an
interest in video production, but no specific direction. Shortly after
his freshmen year, he began making narrative movies with fellow student
and roommate, Daniel Attamante. In his junior year, he created "The
Adventures of Squirrel Man" with roommates John Bradley and Kevin
McTigue (written by McTigue and directed by Bradley and McTigue.) The
eight part mini-series aired on the Rowan Television Network and went
on to win a Silver Telly Award, the highest honor the Tellys have to
offer. In 2011, Yurcisin re-teamed with Attamante and made the short
film, "Dog", for the Campus MovieFest competition. The film was a
campus finalist, an AT&T Rethink Possible semi-finalist, nominated for
a Golden Tripod Award for cinematography, and won the AT&T Wild Card
Award, earning it a spot at the International Grand Finale in Hollywood
in June 2011.
