Actress Faria Abdullah, who is awaiting the release of her upcoming streaming series ‘The Jengaburu Curse’, has shared that the team went 500 feet deep inside the mines to shoot some scenes of the series. For the same, they had to wear helmets and boots.
The shoot also also led to the dropping of oxygen levels. While talking about her shooting experience, Faria Abdullah, who portrays the character of Priyambada Das said that they had shot at real locations, be it the airport or the market.
She said: “The team has really put in efforts to hold on to the authenticity of the locations. I remember shooting in a buzzing market and the team constantly instructing people to not look in the camera and look elsewhere. The most exciting yet thrilling part of the shoot was to shoot in the real mines.”

The mainstay of the Indian film industry has been its checkered history with a motley mix of religions, castes and regions headlining a wide cross-section of actors — some from a privileged background, others from the periphery — who lived in Bombay and contributed to its glory.
"Jubilee" spans an era that heralded new beginnings in Indian cinema, as the country cast off shackles of British rule. Focusing on an eventful period that presaged an independent cinema, the web series has many firsts to its credit: the reconstruction of imposing film studios headed by the original honchos; a closer look at the stars and star-wives; the spectacle surrounding the struggling actors and filmmakers; dreamers and aspirants amid the divide between the two central religions...

Jubilee
Lights, sound, camera… action! And here we go. At last, a series that encapsulates the genesis of Hindi cinema…the good, bad, and the ogling.
The fun part of Vikramaditya Motwane’s see-real is to spot who’s who and … my God, is this true??!!! Motwane’s writer Atul Sabharwal uses historical facts to create a kind of free-flowing fusion of fact and fantasy that is at once arresting and liberating.
From the silent era in the 1940s to the not-so-silent era when the Partition of 1947 tore the nation into two, Jubilee begins its comprehensive exhilarating journey by introducing us to the brooding maverick producer Srikant Roy, most meticulously modeled on the legendary Himanshu Rai. As played by Prosenjit Chatterjee, Roy is wily and mysterious, ambitious and nasty…It’s a brutal role played with tremendous understanding.
In comparison Aditya Roy Hydari as Roy’s wife Sumitra Devi (modeled...

Tanishtha Chatterjee?s directorial debut film, Roam Rome Mein starring multifaceted actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui had a world premiere yesterday at the prestigious Busan Film Festival and the actress turned director is elated and feeling blessed.
?This is a very special moment where I am showcasing the world premiere of my debut film Roam Rome Mein at a festival which I have always wanted to be a part of ?said the actress expressing her happiness.
Adding a little about her film she says, ?When we were shooting for Lion, Nawaz and I mutually expressed the thought of exploring avenues of working on a project together pertaining to a genre that the two us would enjoy watching as audience. That?s how Roam Rome Mein started ideating in my mind. Then Ravi Walia came on board as a producer and Ridhima Lulla from Eros loved the concept. And we made the film.

The name can be misleading. Shala is not about kids going to school nor is it a children’s film, even remotely. All that it has in common with Stanley ka Dabba begins and ends at the animated sequence that plays with the opening credits. Shala takes you to the next level: while you are still at school and your friends are important, you step onto the threshold of the adult world and start making sense of it.
Based on a story by Milind Bokil, Shala is a ravishing debut feature by Sujay Dahake. It is an adolescent love story set in a small town in the politically charged decade of the 70s. In the backdrop, there is the fear of the Emergency on one side and the insinuation of rebellion in...
