Barry Keane(II)

This Connemara born actor started acting in his late teens and has done
work with the Oranmore drama group "Bualadh Bos" including a very
popular run of Lennox Robinson's "drama at Inish". He has also appeared
in Conor McPherson's "The Weir" in the town hall studio.He is a fluent
Irish speaker is comfortable working in both languages as was seen in
the plays "Cathal Bui", "jack Fure" and "Díoltas an tSíol" all which
went all the way to the national finals and won numerous awards. He has
also appeared in TG4s Ros Na Run as the drug dealer/loan shark
"Anto".Barry played the challenging part of "Shylock" in one shots
production of Shakespeare's "The Merchant Of Venice". He appeared in
the 2 highly successful runs of "Reservoir Dogs" His portrayal of the
psychotic "Mr Blond" was described by one reviewer as "suitably
understated and thoroughly scary". Playing two totally contradicting
parts in a stage version of "Taxi Driver" was another challenge he
enjoyed. He played the shady character "Tubal" in croí8s comedy
"Merchant of Venice".He will soon(Nov 2012) be seen in Aghata Christies
"The Unexpected Guest" as "Michael Starkwedder" and in TG4s Sceal.
