Exclusive: Ken Jeong (Crazy Rich Asians) and Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale) have signed on to star alongside Zhang Jingchu, Michelle Krusiec and more in Impossible Dream Entertainment’s comedy Tiger Mom, which has entered production in Vancouver.
Zhang leads the U.S. & China co-produced film as Marilyn Khu, a first-generation Chinese-American mother who, unable to control her teenage children, enrolls them in a prestigious disciplinary school called Tiger Academy — run by the no-nonsense Suki Lai (Krusiec) —which is capable of whipping them into Ivy League shape. While Jeong will play Jimmy Khu, a work obsessed husband and father whose parenting style is decidedly out of touch, details as to Munro’s role haven’t been disclosed. Additional cast members set include Alexa Loo (Chad), William Budijanto (Resident Alien), Chloe Pun (Kung Fu), Neil Garguilo (Bloodsucking Bastards) and Nathalie Boltt (District 9).

Two treasure hunters uncover a sealed tomb and awaken a mummy that has waited years to come back and wipe humanity from the face of the Earth. It’s a race against time as they try to stop the Mummy from wreaking havoc on the modern world…
What’s that? A new mummy movie? Is it a sequel to the Tom Cruise movie? Nope. Is it an mockbuster from The Asylum? Nope. Then what is it?
Well in truth it’s a brand-new take on the mummy mythos from filmmaker Justin Price and actress turned producer/director Khu, who previously worked with Price on films like Snare, The 13th Friday and Dark Moon Rising. It’s also a take on the legend that returns to a more serious tone,...

2245, the Earth’s sun has dwindled and no longer provides the energy needed to sustain human life. Five hired mercenaries travel to an uncharted planet to collect a rare mineral known as stardust to replenish the dying star. After their spaceship crashes on the alien planet, they are stalked and hunted by a creature far more advanced than anything they have ever encountered before.
Opening with a scene that is a blatant rip-off of The Terminator, complete with robots walking over a skull-filled landscape and then cutting to a scene with an Ed-209 wannabe, is probably not the best way to introduce your movie – reminding your audience of bigger-budgeted and more well-made films is not the best, or brightest, way to kick of Any low-budget movie; let alone one that is clearly...

A flight team becomes stranded on an alien planet while attempting to activate a machine that will restore Earth. Somebody fights an alien monster and there are also space zombies because…reasons?
I would bet a fiver that I have put more thought into those first two sentences than Justin Price put into his entire film. Alien Reign Of Man is as burdensome a title to watch as it is to type. However, I will not shorten the title to just Alien because I would not dare insult the Ridley Scott universe this film so desperately wants to be when it grows up.
I was tricked into enjoying the first five minutes of story. The desolate, alien landscape felt ominous and the explorers’ environmental suits had a cool medieval knight aesthetic to them. The acting is pretty bad from the start,...
