Nearly four months have passed since Starz’s sprawling “Power” universe was last on the air, following the April season finale of the Tommy Egan-focused “Force.” That’s not much time, and certainly not the longest span of time between installments in “Power” creator Courtney Kemp’s ever-widening tableau of cocaine entrepreneurs. But it feels like a long time, evidence that Kemp has succeeded into turning “Power” into a Marvel-style narrative ecosystem, for better and for worse.
The “for worse” part comes when any extended amount of time passes, when the richness and depth of a long-running, hyperconnected story triggers the audience’s anxiety about their ability to keep track of all its machinations. For example, “Force” reintroduced O.G. character Liliana (Audrey Esparza), who hadn’t been seen in over seven years since her initial three-episode arc in “Power.” The move ultimately paid off, but it also signaled to the fanbase that,...

Well, that was a lot.
You’re here because you’ve just watched the incredibly tense Season 1 finale of Starz’s “Power Book IV: Force,” which effectively brings Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) back to square one.
Not that he’s sweating it. As we see near the end of the episode, he’s no longer interested in just having his own stake in the local drug trade: Now he’s determined to bring the whole city of Chicago under his direct control.
But to get there, he’s going to have to deal with an extremely uncertain new status quo. Both of the show’s family-run gangs — Cbi and the Flynns — have fractured into opposing factions. Claudia (Lili Simmons) and Victor (Shane Harper) now run their own organization around the designer drug “Dahlia” in defiance of their father Walter (Tommy Flanagan), while Diamond (Isaac Keys) has severed ties with his...

Spoiler Alert: Do Not Read Further If You Have Not Seen The Season Four Finale:
First, the good news: Blindspot will be returning for a fifth and final season. Fans fretted that the show’s long hiatus in May meant trouble. But now that the final season has been green-lighted for 13 more episodes, all will be given a proper ending and explanation on the long mystery of Jane’s tattoos.
It’s a good thing, too, since season four ended with a classic cliffhanger in its two-hour season four finale.
We start with Dominic (Chaske Spencer), who took down the power grid. Jane, Weller, Reade, Zapata and Patterson head to Iceland to fix it, but are soon manipulated into being the fall guys for Madeline’s plot. Facing arrest, they start to turn on each other. But they manage to achieve their objective.

Blindspot lives again! After another spring on the bubble, the mystery drama starring Sullivan Stapleton and Jaimie Alexander has been renewed for a fifth and final season by NBC. The pickup comes despite NBC’s recent decision to bench Blindspot for the May sweep.
Blindspot was a big breakout hit when it launched in fall 2015 behind The Voice on Monday. Its ratings took a hit once the series was moved to Wednesdays in Season 2 and further declined when it was relocated to Fridays at the start of Season 3.
While not a strong linear performer, Blindspot has done Ok in delayed viewing and has an established fan base. With a significant DVR bump, the series is averaging a 0.9 among adults 18-49 in most current rating and 4.9 million viewers.
Additionally, Blindspot has been a strong seller and profit generator for producer Warner Bros TV internationally, including a lucrative deal with Netflix. For that reason,...

NBC has ordered a fifth and final season of “Blindspot.”
The series stars Jaimie Alexander as a woman who initially crawled out of a duffel bag in the middle of New York City, completely naked except for the tattoos that covered almost every inch of her body. The tattoos were codes, and she worked with the FBI to uncover secrets and attempt to prevent crimes. As the seasons have gone on, the web of conspiracy has gotten more complicated, both due to the truth about the group that used her as a human treasure map, as well as the ever-increasing personal connections the team made with her and each other.
In addition to Alexander, the “Blindspot” cast includes Sullivan Stapleton, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson and Ennis Esmer.

Time hasn't run out for Jane Doe. The Blindspot TV show has been renewed for a fourth season by NBC. The series, which once seemed like it could be the Peacock Network's next big thing has hemorrhaged viewers each season, so the renewal is a bit of a surprise. However, the series has a devoted fan base and the network negotiated a license fee reduction last year so that the show has been profitable for NBC. Given the strong emotional reaction everyone at NBC had to Manifest, some had been wondering what was taking so long for the pilot to be picked up to series. The missing plane mystery thriller drama comes from an outside studio, Warner Bros. TV, and as we noted yesterday, along with the buzzy pilot, the studio also had bubble sophomore drama series Blindspot at the network, making for some tricky deal-making.
Negotiations have completed successfully, with Manifest, from Jeff Rake and Robert Zemeckis, ordered to series and Blindspot renewed for a fourth season. While not a strong linear performer, Blindspot has been remarkably consistent and has an established fan base. Additionally, at last year’s renewal, NBC reportedly negotiated a license fee reduction, so I’d heard the series, starring Sullivan Stapleton and Jaimie Alexander, has been profitable for the network. And it certainly has been very profitable for the studio...
