Updated with latest: Actors Access is the latest target of a potential class action lawsuit for its pay-to-play model.
A week ago, the California-based public interest firm Clarkson Law filed suit against Casting Networks. Now it has set its sights on the Gary Marsh-owned service that allows actors to submit directly to casting breakdowns posted by casting directors.
Plaintiffs in the suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday are Kate Bond and Christian Jenkins — both of whom are local L.A. SAG board members — along with Robert Fisher, Amber Coyle and Donald Smith. Read the lawsuit here.
Breakdown Services owns and operates Actors Access and is believed to have a database of more than 1 million actors.
“Following the daily outpour of support from actors, industry insiders, and the public, after our filing against Casting Networks, we realized exactly how widespread this problem is throughout the online audition industry,...

SAG-AFTRA is expected to hold bargaining sessions with the major studios over the weekend, as the two sides continue to work toward a deal to end the 106-day strike.
The sessions may be held virtually, rather than in person.
“We completed a full and productive day working internally and will continue into the weekend,” the union told members in an email Friday night. “We thank you for the incredible solidarity and support you have shown on the pickets and across the country all week long.”
The two sides met on Friday for the third day this week at SAG-AFTRA headquarters. But four studio CEOs — David Zaslav of Warner Bros. Discovery, Donna Langley of NBCUniversal, Ted Sarandos of Netflix and Bob Iger of Disney — who have been present at the earlier sessions were not at the table on Friday, a source said.

The world of Web Series is about as diverse as it gets. From format, to genre, to production quality, they’re everywhere, and some of them take the opportunity to go for a risk.
Being un-Google-able is a risk, as is being a fairly tame show with a name like Cam Girls, but the series, which hits June 1st is surprisingly layered for something that only has 4-6 minutes to get things done.
The story revolves around Liv (Kate Bond), and the journey that leads her to becoming a Cam Girl. As she mentions in the trailer, she starts at the beginning. It’s actually a well-developed road that highlights the odd, and unforeseeable turns our lives may take. A new job, a new friend, a friend’s husband who has spy cams all over his house… the usual.
The show isn’t exactly comedic, or dramatic, and those who...
