King Charles is reportedly turning away from his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, as the royal family continues to experience public and personal turmoil in 2024. Instead, he is leaning on the one person who provides “complete discretion and unconditional love” when it comes to royal family matters.
King Charles’ is relying on one person to help him lead the royal family through turmoil
In 2024, King Charles finds himself in the unlikely position of facing a health crisis as he subsequently tries to lead the royal family together during a very vulnerable period. The king was diagnosed with cancer in January.
In the months that followed, his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, has also faced the same disease. Charles’ son, William, stepped back from royal duties to take care of his wife as she began a course of chemotherapy.
Therefore, Charles’ slimmed-down monarchy suddenly became rail-thin. The number of front-facing senior royals dwindled.

The BBFC have conducted their latest public consultation on their age-rating guidelines – and it’s bad news for violent 12As…
On-screen violence, suicide and self-harm and some sexual content are all of ‘increased concern’ amongst the general public, a BBFC consultation has found.
Throughout 2023, the organisation spoke with 12,000 people across the UK to determine what matters most to audiences when it comes to content classification in the BBFC’s first public consultation since 2019.
The results found that, despite broad support for the BBFC’s current categorisation of violence, audiences expressed concern about how distressing certain types of violence can be. “Going forward, a higher rating may be required for violence across all age-rating categories, especially when particularly intense or impactful scenes occur,” the organisation said in a press release.

The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) will hand higher age ratings to films that depict violence and on-screen sex and nudity in line with its latest Classification Guidelines following a new survey of the British public.
The BBFC has said it spoke with 12,000 people across the UK throughout 2023 while compiling its latest guidelines “to explore what matters most to audiences when it comes to classification.”
Regarding sex scenes, the body said audiences were “concerned” by the level of sexual detail, nudity, and the duration of the sex scenes rated 12A/12 under their previous 2019 guidelines. Audiences now want “a more cautious approach to classifying sex scenes at the border of 12A/12 and 15,” BBFC said. As a result, “similar content is now more likely to be rated 15.”
However, the research also indicated that audiences are “happy” for classification to be more lenient towards some sex references at the 15/18 borderline, “especially in comic contexts.

Back in February 2020, Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, the married couple who on Fridays presented long-running British morning magazine show This Morning, were the first to hug co-presenter Phillip Schofield live on air after he came out as gay to viewers, with the support of his co-presenter Holly Willoughby, all pictured.
Three years later and it’s a very different story, with Holmes blasting Schofield on social media, calling him “delusional” for claiming there to be no toxicity behind the scenes of ITV’s most important daytime show.
The ping-pong of conflicting accounts has been keeping entertainment journalists in the UK busy since Friday May 12, when Schofield stepped down from his role as the program’s lead presenter after 21 years at the helm. At the time, a rumored broken friendship with Willoughby was commonly cited as the reason, with ITV bosses praising him and saying he would continue to host other shows on the channel.

Adil Ray has criticised Laurence Fox after the Lewis star compared insults aimed at him as an actor to Ray’s own experiences of racism.
On Sunday (10 April), the Good Morning Britain host – who has been vocal about past experiences in which he was the target of racism – responded to a news story about Essex police seizing racially offensive dolls from a pub.
The dolls, traditionally known as “golli***s”, feature a racist caricature of Black people.
Writing on Twitter, Ray commented: “I was called golliw*** at school. Just hearing the word frightens me. I can’t think of any good reason why someone on balance might think it’s ok to display them in a pub.”
In response, Fox tweeted: “Stay strong bro. I feel your pain. [Theatre critic] Quentin Letts described me as having a face that belonged in the winners enclosure at Aintree in a theatre review once, which,...
