The Broadway musical Suffs just officially opened and a star-studded crowd attended to check out Hillary Clinton and Malala Yousafzai‘s producing debut!
Shaina Taub, who wrote the show and stars as suffragist Alice Paul, walked the red carpet alongside her fellow producers and celebs like Lin-Manuel Miranda on Thursday (April 18) at the Music Box Theatre in New York City.
More celebs in attendance included Anna Wintour, Sara Bareilles, Darren Criss, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Platt and Noah Galvin, Rachel Brosnahan and Jason Ralph, and many more.
Cast members including Tony winner Nikki M. James and Tony nominee Jenn Colella were also on the red carpet.

Besides David Corenswet’s new Clark Kent, the film is also set to present Rachel Brosnahan as the new Lois Lane. [This story includes major spoilers for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel series finale, “Four Minutes.]
Miriam “Midge” Maisel officially became the “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” in the series finale titled “Four Minutes.”
The final episode of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel saw Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) take the biggest risk of her career when she finally got the chance to make an appearance on The Gordon Ford Show — against Gordon Ford’s (Reid Scott) wishes.
When Gordon’s wife, Hedy (Nina Arianda), forces the talk show host to put Midge on his show, he begrudgingly obliges and breaks his rule that employees can’t appear as guests on the show. But, instead of introducing her as a comic, he introduces her as the show’s “resident lady writer,” while the two sit on stools instead of the couch his guests usually sit on.
With four minutes left in the broadcast, Gordon cuts to commercial, much to Mike Carr’s (Jason Ralph) dismay.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 Episode 6 “The Testi-Roastial.”] The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel continues to delve deeper into Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) and Susie’s (Alex Borstein) future, and in the sixth episode, “The Testi-Roastial,” the manager is taking center stage in a roast like no other. The episode is set in 1990, and it’s been years since Susie and Midge “broke up” for reasons that weren’t made clear until now. Mixed with flashbacks from the past and roast moments revealing what her career has come to in the years since hitting it big, viewers learn a lot about the manager who shows up late and blazed on pot. Among the roasters are Mike Carr (Jason Ralph), who knows a thing or two about Susie’s tenacity, and guest stars and Gilmore Girls alums Sean Gunn as Stewart Jones and Danny Strong as Aaron Lebowitz. New York City Mayor Eric Adams Friday signed a proclamation declaring April 14, 2023 The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Day, recognizing the Prime Video series for its positive impact on NYC and the iconic path blazed worldwide. The first three episodes of the fifth and final season drop today.
The series “showcases the beautiful streets of New York City, features a strong female lead character, and is the perfect example of how our city’s film and TV industry creates jobs, and generates economic activity,” Adams said, citing 185,000+ jobs and more than $82 billion in total economic output. “We are going to continue to work with studios and stakeholders, like Prime Video, to ensure New York City is made available to them for their production needs.”
Over seven years, the show has employed over 37,000 actors and craftspeople, including 344 dancers, 580 musicians, 981 day players and 35,619 background actors. Based at Steiner Studios, it uses the city as its set,...

When “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” emerged in 2017 as a pilot for Amazon’s Prime Video, I wrote it was a look at “neurosis, nutty family dynamics, comedy laced with heartache — my new favorite show. I would binge watch the series right now — but there’s only the pilot!”

She's back for one last kick at the can!
On The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 Episode 1, we get a series of heartfelt goodbyes and a glimpse at the future. It's a bittersweet beginning to the end of one of television's most delightful comedies.
Warning: This review contains spoilers for Episodes 1 - 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5.
The first episode is aptly titled because we "go forward" in time to 1981. Alexandra Socha is uncanny as the grown-up version of Midge's daughter, Esther.
She was so convincing that initially, I wondered if they had done visual effects or computer trickery on Rachel Brosnahan. Did Socha win a Midge Maisel impersonation contest? She's a marvel!
Poor Esther is neurotic and brilliant, which makes complete sense. We don't get to spend too much time with her here, but just enough to get an idea of how much Midge has affected her daughter.

Rachel Brosnahan loved sharing the screen with her other half, actor Jason Ralph, on the fifth and final season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.
Brosnahan, who plays Miriam “Midge” Maisel” in the hit show, spoke to Et Canada about how the idea to have Ralph, who stars as Mike Carr, in the show came about.
The actress, who has been married to her hubby since 2016, recalled, “[“Mrs. Maisel’ creator] Amy [Sherman-Palladino] has always loved Jason, and… she had kind of said she didn’t know how big a part it was going to be last season, and it ended up [being] two episodes. And then she decided to write eight or nine episodes this season. So it just kind of felt really organic.”

Peacock has unveiled the official trailer for its new miniseries “Joe vs. Carole,” starring John Cameron Mitchell and Kate McKinnon.
Based on the Robert Moor-hosted Wondery podcast “Joe Exotic,” “Joe vs. Carole” focuses on the bitter rivalry between big cat zookeeper Joe Exotic (Mitchell) and animal sanctuary CEO Carole Baskin (McKinnon), which was immortalized in the first season of the popular Netflix docuseries “Tiger King.” In addition to Mitchell and McKinnon, the miniseries also stars Kyle MacLachlan, Brian Van Holt, Sam Keeley, Nat Wolf, Marlo Kelly, William Fichtner, Dean Winters and David Wenham.
The trailer depicts McKinnon and Mitchell in character, as Baskin and her husband (MacLachlan) set out to take down Exotic for his abuse of his animals and breeding of big cats for profit.
“He has no idea what I’ve been through in my life,” Baskin says in the trailer. “Individually we are a whimper, but together,...

It's been a long time coming, but we finally have a premiere date for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4!
Prime Video on Tuesday revealed that the beloved comedy will return on Friday, February 18, but there's a catch.
For the first time in the history of the show, Prime Video will be rolling episodes out weekly.
Two episodes will be launched each Friday for four consecutive weeks, meaning that you'll have to wait until the season is over if you want to binge it in one sitting.
“It’s 1960 and change is in the air,” the Season 4 synopsis reads.
“Looking to hone her act, Midge finds a gig with total creative freedom."
"But her commitment to her craft — and the places it takes her — creates a rift between her and the family and friends around her.”
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 concluded with Midge losing her spot on Shy Baldwin's tour,...

Things are changing on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4.
Amazon Prime Video on Monday dropped a new look at the forthcoming season, courtesy of two photos.
The first shows Midge sprawled on a sofa, deep in thought, clearly thinking about something serious.
There are people around her, but she's so deep in thought that she's unaware of what is happening behind her.
What could have Maisel this deep in contemplation?
We'd love to know, but we'll have to wait until the new season debuts to get some more clarity.
Then again, maybe we'll get that clarity in the trailer, which is set to arrive soon.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 concluded with Midge losing her spot on Shy Baldwin's tour, as well as her apartment.
The second photo shows Abe and Rose enjoying some fine dining in their home watching the TV.
They look as happy as ever, which is good to see.

The titular Marvelous Mrs. Maisel may be a comedian, but the yuks are sparse in the show’s first Season 4 photos.
The new shots, which Prime Video released Monday, show Midge looking rather melancholy, stretched out on a sofa in what appears to be a showgirls’ dressing room. Surrounded by sequins and feathers, and wearing her familiar black cocktail gown stage outfit, might Midge be getting ready to go on/contemplating her life choices thus far?
