Artist Juan Hugo Martinez is the creator of this fan art that features an epic showdown between Batman and The Predator. The first piece features the Dark Knight flying in on his Batwing. The second piece shows our hero scanning the area. The third illustration shows the two characters brawling and it looks like Predator has the upper hand... at the moment. This is just a cool art series I thought you'd want to check out!

Dwayne Johnson has been teasing a showdown between Superman and Black Adam for about a year already. It started with the actor saying nothing would make him happier to see the two DC characters battle each other and that Superman's "got it comin'." Later on, he posted a photo of himself hanging out with actor Henry Cavill that came with the following note:
Today we drink like gentleman and come together as friends. We’re excited for what the future brings.. #DangerousGentleman #DCWorldsWillCollide #Superman
Now a rumor has surfaced says Black Adam will be introduced as the villain in Man of Steel 2. The rumor comes from a Reddit user, who says they have some inside information from the DC Entertainment creative team. This is an untested source, but there is evidence that there is some truth to the rumor.

As you all know by now, Dwayne Johnson is set to play Black Adam in WB’s big screen adaptation of Shazam. I’ve seen a lot of fan art done for the character since that has happened, but nothing as good as this piece from artist Juan Hugo Martinez. This is a great imagining of the character, and it shows us a design that wonderfully fits the visual esthetic of the Dceu that Zack Snyder and his team have developed.

This time on the podcast, Scott is joined by David Blakeslee and Ryan Gallagher to discuss Guillermo Del Toro’s The Devil’s Backbone.
About the film:
One of the most personal films by Guillermo del Toro, The Devil’s Backbone is also among his most frightening and emotionally layered. Set during the final week of the Spanish Civil War, it tells the tale of a twelve-year-old boy who, after his freedom-fighting father is killed, is sent to a haunted rural orphanage full of terrible secrets. Del Toro expertly combines gothic ghost story, murder mystery, and historical melodrama in a stylish mélange that, like his later Pan’s Labyrinth, reminds us the scariest monsters are often the human ones.

It looks like Marvel has finally chosen an actor to play Doctor Strange in the Scott Derrickson directed film. After years of rumors, lists and speculation, Deadline reports that Benedict Cumberbatch is their man!
Over the last four years, there have been eighteen actors rumored for the coveted role, and Cumberbatch was among them. Joaquin Phoenix was in discussions for the part for awhile, but the talks eventually fizzled and the actor dropped out. Marvel had to go back to square one when that happened. Now they are back on track and ready to move forward.
The report says that the studio is about to start the negotiation process, which means both parties are interested in sealing the deal. Deadline also says they expect the deal to close, so I guess we can too.

Illustrator Juan Hugo Martinez recent revealed this fantastic piece of art he did featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. Last week a rumor hit that Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy were up for the part. A lot of fans including myself seemed to like the idea of Cumberbatch as Strange. As a long time fan of this character, I think the actor could easily pull it off and give fans something awesome. As of right now, no actor is officially signed on with Marvel, but seeing this portrait gets me even more hopeful to see Cumberbatch in the role of the Sorcerer Supreme. ...
