Al Nichol was born in North Carolina, United States. He is a musician who formed the 1960s Rock group The Turtles in 1963 who were known for their songs "Happy Together" and "She'd Rather Be With Me". He starred as himself in Out Of Sight (1966) and appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show (1967).
Al Nichol gained international fame when he, alongside his band The Turtles, began releasing music in 1965. Their 1967 song "Happy Together" was, and still is, the groups most well known track.
