- Sharma MacDonald is an actress, known for 2020 (2022), Mary (2020), No Way Out (2015), Refuge (2013), Saving Hope (2013) and Breakout (2010). Sharma recently signed on as Host of a segment on Yes TV, Canada's most watched family values entertainment station. She was awarded as top 150 Black Canadians with a Black Canadian Award/ Black Business Award in the category of Actor/Filmmaker/Community Role Model, in honor of "Canada 150 ". In 2016, Sharma stepped onto the stage in Theatre performances of Nora and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore. Sharma got her first television acting gig while attending an acting workshop where she did mock auditions for a casting director. The casting director was so impressed with her audition that she got booked right then for her first starring role in the National Geographic and Discovery Channel's Breakout series - Escape to Vegas. Sharma has also found success behind the camera as the first short film she wrote and directed was an Official Selection at the Women's Director International Film Festival; the film was also selected to air on Rogers Television network as part of special programming for the Toronto International Film Festival.
