There have been numerous films with ‘Deadly’ in the title. In 1957 Nathan Juran brought us a movie called The Deadly Mantis, about giant praying mantis, who voraciously preys on American military. In 1974 Doris Wishman brought us a movie called Deadly Weapons, about a busty woman who goes after mobsters for killing her boyfriend. In 1984 Charles E. Sellier Jr. brought us a movie called Silent Night, Deadly Night, about boy who goes on a murderous rampage dressed as Santa. In 1986 Wes Craven brought us a movie called Deadly Friend, about a robot named "Bb” whose brain gets implanted into a human girl. In 2014 Jared Masters is bringing us a movie called Deadly Punkettes, about a teenage girl band that gets terrorized by a former member’s ghost.
Frolic Pictures has confirmed wrapping principle photography and moving into post-production. The film was shot in Hollywood, California and will be released next year.

Set in a beautiful bird-chirping residential neighborhood in Southern California, a band is born. Made up entirely of pretty private school girls. All the elements are in place and the racquet ball of cinematic sensationalism has been rickashayed into a landfill of soon to-be benevolent screens across the globe.
Pop princess D'Lannie Brown is the answer. A heroine, the jovial decent into clarity; a rich thespian case study. She plays Aspen, the lead singer, and bassist of a new hot act that could not go on without her. Holding it down on drums, is zesty Zeb, played by the delightful and all-natural-Natural Danielle Stavin, in a her film debut. On keyboard is the marvelous Skylar Ripp, as rambunctious Rainy, an interestingly lovely and potent counterpart. Is she a damsel in distress or an instrument of evil? On electric guitar is the ever-so-enlightened Lauren Taler as Carby Kelp,...

Somehow, someway, the award winning bowlegged poet-turned-filmmaker from Midlothian, Virginia, is now getting his 7th feature film produced, Deadly Punkettes. The film will depict the gritty Neapolitan rise and fall of 4 prissy teenage punk-rock princesses, who’ll have to maintain well-rounded riots even after a founding member mysteriously dies, and haunts their act!
The picture might just be the first of its kind, melding an all-girl group novelty with paranormal terror. The plot twists hardly promise to be tame, and the predictability of this particular writer’s track record could convince us the story will be chock full of sassy, silly, and seductive female characters.
Meet the band… On bass guitar and vocals … the daring and diverse D’Lannie Brown, as Aspen, a simple girl who’s about to become enchanted by a new set of illusions in her life … and death. On guitar … the delicate and dear … Claire Gordon-Harper,...

2011 - 8 episodes (3-5 mins. each) - Not Rated
D: Bart D. Van Bemmel, Jason A. Wheeler
C: Cherami Leigh, Rebekah Kennedy, Lindsay Seidel, Chad Cox, Kayla Carlyle, Brina Palencia, Rachel Verret, Lynn Andrews III, Jon Christie, Spencer Harlan, Tom Hamlett, Bryan Massey
Group of high school students stuck serving Saturday detention are stalked and slashed by a madman.
Slick, polished horror web series for the most part is technically proficient with an interesting cast of up and coming actors, but severely hampered by non-existent plot. Throwing Stones features one moment after another of character development, but forgets to tell a story in the process! Frustratingly viewers are stuck waiting for something, anything to happen over the span of eight episodes, but it never does. Like every other show out there, the series needs to tell a story to involve viewers with, to engage them. Then it is acceptable to close...

The fear-inducing webseries "Throwing Stones" debuted on 28Dla with an article here: Broken Windows Theory Explained on 28Dla. Now, the first episode in the series is available inside. The clip is about three minutes long and the tone of the film, thus far, is pure fear.
If you are on you lunch break and still in the office, turn down the volume slightly as the screams from the monitor might make those around you think you are being murdered! All the details on this series are inside.
A plot summary for the film here:
"The concept of "Throwing Stones" derives from the sociologist theory on broken windows. A broken window is left unfixed in a neighborhood; it signals to that community it's acceptable for that type of behavior to take place. These ideas compound until the neighborhood becomes decayed and unable to achieve its past grandeur. Now apply the theory...

Spencer Harlan is the up and coming co-star of the horror web series Throwing Stones directed by Bart D. Van Bemmel and Jason A. Wheeler and featuring Cherami Leigh, Rebekah Kennedy, Lindsay Seidel, Chad Cox, Kayla Carlyle, Brina Palencia, Rachel Verret, Lynn Andrews III, Jon Christie, Tom Hamlett, and Bryan Massey. Billed as a teen slasher meets "The Breakfast Club". Throwing Stones is about a group of high schoolers who are given Saturday school to teach them a lesson, but instead they learn that there's a killer waiting for them! With his classic all American looks and tall stature, Spencer Harlan should be a young actor to keep an eye out for as that should be able to lend itself to him being able to slip into a wide variety of roles as he can dirty himself up to play edgier fare or he can stick to his current look...

Throwing Stones Alt PosterToday is the day of the webseries, as Throwing Stones shows up on the radar. The film takes on the Broken Windows Theory which basically states that the removal of torn down and broken homes or the repairing of damaged infrastructure leads to a safer community. Also, keeping things in order leads to less vandalism and fewer instances of crime. This is a theory that was trumped by Mayor Giuliani in New York during the '80s and '90s with some success.
Throwing Stones will take this approach to a whole new level, as students are seen as the broken windows in need of repair. But only a few of the students can be fixed with hammer and nail, while others need complete destruction! In Throwing Stones no one is safe, not even the viewers! So, take an early look at a film which uses some...
