Good news for those suffering from Stranger Things withdrawal: Netflix has dated its new Millie Bobby Brown film.
Damsel, a fantasy feature from Spanish director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later), sees Brown playing a dutiful damsel who is selected by her queen to marry a handsome prince. But the dream turns into a nightmare when she realizes she’s being used by the royal family as a sacrifice to pay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she has to fight to survive.
Robin Wright plays the evil queen in a cast that also includes Angela Bassett, Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson and Shohreh Aghdashloo. Written by Dan Mazeau, Damsel‘s producers include Joe Roth (Maleficent), Jeff Kirschenbaum (Fast X) and Chris Castaldi (The Gray Man).
Netflix on Wednesday said that it will be bowing Damsel on its platform worldwide on March 8, 2024.

Millie Bobby Brown is fighting for her life against a dragon and a kingdom’s insidious plans in the first teaser trailer for Netflix’s upcoming film, Damsel.
Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and written by Dan Mazeau, the film follows Brown’s “dutiful” Damsel after she’s selected to and agrees to marry a handsome prince. But her magical future turns into a nightmare present after she learns she’s being used by the royal family as a sacrifice to pay an ancient debt — leaving her to defend herself against a treacherous threat.
“For generations, it has been our task to protect our people. So tonight, you join a long line of women who have helped to build this kingdom,” Robin Wright’s queen can be heard saying. “The price is dear, but so too the reward.”

The curtain is closing on Barry, HBO‘s dark comedy series about a hit man from the Midwest who moves to Los Angeles and falls in love with the stage. HBO released its Barry Season 4 trailer on Wednesday, featuring Bill Hader’s irredeemable character losing his grip and creating chaos, even behind bars. The Emmy-winning series returns with the first of eight episodes on April 16, 2023, on HBO, with new episodes every Sunday until the May 28 series finale.
Here’s the official logline for Barry Season 4:
Cousineau (Henry Winkler) is hailed as a hero as Barry’s (Bill Hader) arrest has shocking consequences. It’s all been leading up to this – Barry’s explosive and hilarious final chapter.
That description isn’t much to go on. HBO may be trying not to spoil the events, but still, talk about crumbs. In HBO’s Barry Season 4 trailer, Barry (Bill Hader) is...

Timber Timbre’s haunting record “Run From Me” looms throughout the Season 4 trailer for the HBO series Barry. “You better run for your life,” an eerie voice croons as viewers reconnect with a bloodied and bruised Barry Berkman (Bill Hader) searching for redemption while in prison. He can feel himself running out of time as the series winds down, concluding for good with the forthcoming set of episodes premiering on April 16.
“I’m really sorry,” Barry says in the trailer to no one in particular. “I didn’t think it would end up like this.

Lera Lynn admits finding a new audience for sad, slow songs is a tough feat, but she knows now that performing as the "Greek chorus" of hit HBO show "True Detective" is a real avenue for lovers of the down-and-out. But don't mistake it: she's more than glad to have gone through it. Read our Q&A below, on what her character really was, what her plans are next, and if Frank's bar...
