Justin's favorite movie of all time is the 1986 animated classic, The Transformers, and his favorite dark comedy/horror film is The Lost Boys. His favorite band is the 80's glam-slam-kings-of-noise, Poison, and his favorite author is John Steinbeck. His script for SHERYL was a quarterfinalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, and his script for his fantasy comedy feature, Darryn the Bold and the Sword of Boldness was a finalist in multiple screenwriting competitions, including the Austin Film Festival in three categories. It was also the 2022 #1 fantasy comedy script and the #3 fantasy script of all time on Coverfly's Red List. He was also the writer for The Living Remain, a virtual reality video game, selected by Oculus as part of its indie-developer START program and called the "best VR campaign since Resident Evil 4." He is also the founder of BxB Studios, a multimedia production studio designed to create fun, empowering stories with heart.
Justin holds a BA in creative writing and studied feature film writing at UCLA Extension under Michael Weiss (Journey to the Center of the Earth) and improv comedy and sketch writing at Upright Citizen's Brigade. He has written three fiction books, all of which reached the top ten in their respective genres on Amazon. As a composer, his music has been featured in programming for WWE, National Geographic, and Swiffer. Justin also has nearly twenty years of corporate writing experience, working with Starbucks, CitiBank, AMC Theatres, and more.
Justin lived in Japan for two years and is conversational in Japanese... or at least he used to be. He lives in the Los Angeles area, California.
