Devin Mahesh is a Canadian film and television producer. He was born on April 18, 1982 in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada.
During his internship at Lifestyles Magazine (2004), Gabriel A. Erem encouraged Devin to make the world a better place and build his own media company to do it. This has continued to be a source of inspiration and challenge.
After he attended York University, Devin moved to New York City to further his studies in Film and Television Production. During this time, he wrote, produced and directed short films, documentaries, commercials and music videos. This led to a position with the Annual Mixtape Awards (Justo's) producing original online content featuring hip hop artists 50 Cent, French Montana, Pitbull, and Diddy among others.
In 2009 he won the Canadian Media Producers Association National Mentorship and was partnered with Jennifer Holness of Hungry Eyes Media. He assisted in the development, production and distribution of Min Sook Lee's critically acclaimed film Badge of Pride (CBC & PBS) and Catherine Annau's uplifting environmental documentary, Brick By Brick (Omni).
Working closely with Sudz Sutherland and the talented comedic writers of She's The Mayor, he was inspired to research, write and develop his own original content. He produced the video game The Mu$ic Biz, with XMG Studios, Hungry Eyes Media and his friend Bryan Pei. In addition to media production, he has also been a theatrical stage manager for the Curtain Club Theatre of Richmond Hill.
Devin's feature film credits include, Home Again. Shot on location in Trinidad and Tobago, this international co-production allowed him to work closely and learn from veteran science fiction producers Don Carmody and Maxime Rémillard.
An avid technology and speculative fiction fan, Devin launched his own film production company, Hyperphantasia Media Inc. in 2020. He continues to write and produce original content leveraging the latest technology and remains focused on making the world a better place.
