We’re less than a week away from the release of Thor: The Dark World and I am very excited to see this highly anticipated sequel. Out of Marvel’s Phase One, the original Thor was probably my least favorite (I might tie it up with The Incredible Hulk) and I see this movie as a chance to better explore Thor as a superhero. What I was not expecting was Marvel’s use of the upcoming movie in its ABC series, Agents of Shield. We’ve seen the series make mention of events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Extremis has had a pretty big presence), but this will be the first time the series specifically follows up on a movie.
The episode of Shield is being called a crossover episode, but don’t expect Chris Hemsworth or Tom Hiddelston to make an appearance. According to EW, “The Well” will air on Nov.

"Marvel's Agents of Shield" will act as a bookend to the events of "Thor: The Dark World." After the tease that the ABC drama will feel repercussions from the latest Marvel movie, the episode description for the show's Nov. 19 episode proves a crossover is indeed happening.
As noted by Entertainment Weekly, the episode description for "The Well" confirms it will pick up from where "Thor: The Dark World" left off. "In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film 'Marvel's Thor: The Dark World,' Coulson and the Agents of Shield pick up the pieces -- one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team," the synopsis reads.
"Dollhouse" helmer Jonathan Frakes directed "The Well". Though none of the "Avengers" cast members have been confirmed for the episode (ABC would not spoil that potential surprise early), the episode will feature appearances from Peter MacNicol as Professor Elliot Randolph,...
