- A M.F.A. graduate from the American Film Institute Conservatory, Jevon Whetter is a seasoned veteran of the stage and screen with significant roles in front of and behind the camera in over thirty productions.
Jevon is a 2019 Producers Guild of America Power of Diversity Master Workshop Fellow, and his feature film screenplay, Flash Before The Bang, was selected for the 2019 Writers Guild of America Disability Scene, the 2018 Film Independent Producing Lab, 2020 Film Independent Fast Track program and is a recipient of the 2019 SFFilm Rainin-Grant award. He is a California Humanities grant recipient for documentary film, "Live at the Deaf Club".

- Jevon is the first Deaf graduate from the Master of Fine Arts in Producing program from the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles, California.
- Taught Performing Arts at the California School for the Deaf, Riverside for 10 years. He has been teaching ASL & Deaf Theatre at California State University, Northridge since 2012.
- Jevon completed stage combat training in 6 different fighting styles under Gregory Hoffman at the Dueling Arts Academy in Las Vegas and Honolulu.
- Ran in Track and Field as a teenager in 110 High Hurdles, 300 Intermediate Hurdles, 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams. Jevon won the 1986 Oregon State Track and Field championship, along with his team from the Oregon School for the Deaf. He played Basketball and Football during his teenage years.
